HERE IS A VERY HARD TO FIND 1988 JEEP COMANCHE PIONEER 4X4 SHORT BED PICKUP... IT IS 99.9% FACTORY ORIGINAL AND NEVER CUT ON, LIFTED, OR BUTCHERED...

IT HAS THE BULLET PROOF 4.0L 6 CYL, 5 SPEED, PS, PB, A/C, TILT WHEEL, AND STILL HAS THE FACTORY DOLBY AM FM CASETTE STEREO... ONE OF THE FEW NON ORIGINAL THINGS ON THIS COMANCHE ARE THE FRONT DOOR SPEAKERS, THAT I RECENTLY REPLACED WITH 3 WAY SPEAKERS... THE REAR SPEAKERS ARE ORIGINAL TO THE JEEP AND THE SYSTEM WORKS AND SOUNDS GREAT...

THE JEEP HAS 178K MILES AND STILL RUNS LIKE A CLOCK... ZERO KNOCKS, SMOKE, TICKS, CLICKS, AND IS READY TO ROCK TODAY... THE CLUTCH, BRAKES, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, REAR END (TRACK LOCK 3.08 GEARS) ALL WORK AS THEY SHOULD AND ARE QUIET... YES, IT HAS FACTORY SKID PLATES...  THE DASH AND HEADLINER ARE BOTH EXCELLENT...

IT BURNS, LEAKS, DRIPS, ZERO FLUIDS AND CAN BE PUT IN YOUR DRIVEWAY OR GARAGE AND NOT MARK IT'S SPOT... THERE IS ZERO RUST ANYWHERE ON THIS JEEP... IT NOT ONLY COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL, BUT ALSO THE MAINTENANCE RECORDS FOR THE LAST 100K MILES... THESE RECORDS START IN 1994 WHEN THE JEEP HAD LIKE 80K MILES ON IT AND ARE AWESOME FOR YOUR REVIEW... SOME OF THESE ITEMS INCLUDE NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS, NEW WINDSHIELD, NEW TIMING CHAIN AND GEAR SPROCKETS, NEW SHOCKS, STEERING DAMPER ETC ETC ETC... IN THE LAST 7 OR 8 YEARS THE JEEP WAS USED AS A WEEKEND WARRIOR AND A WEEKEND FISHING/CAMPING RIG... IT HAS ONLY 15-20 THOUSAND MILES USAGE IN THIS TIME PERIOD... IT PULLED A SMALL TRAVEL TRAILER WITH EASE...

THINGS DONE IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS INCLUDE NEW CAT CONVERTER AND MUFFLER, FRESH OIL AND FILTER, AIR AND FUEL FILTER, PLUGS, PLUG WIRES, CAP AND ROTOR... THE CAMPER SHELL WORKS AS IT SHOULD AND YES, COMES WITH A KEY TO LOCK YOUR STUFF INSIDE... THE JEEP AND THE SHELL BOTH HAVE SLIDING WINDOWS BETWEEN THE TRUCK AND THE SHELL... THE SHELL ALSO HAS SLIDING SIDE WINDOWS WITH SCREENS... THE SIDE WINDOWS GIVE AWESOME VIEW AND ZERO BLIND SPOTS WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING...

I MOSTLY USE THE JEEP AS A FISHING RIG AND CAN BACK DOWNHILL IN THE SAND AT THE RIVER AND KNOW ILL GET OUT WHEN ITS TIME TO HEAD HOME...IT IS NOT A ROLLS ROYCE, BUT NOT MEANT TO BE... IT IS VERY RELIABLE, AND GIVES PEACE OF MIND WHEN DRIVEN...

WHATS THE BOTTOM LINE ??? FIRST, YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A GOOD RELIABLE COMANCHE OR YOU WOULDN'T BE READING THIS... AN ORIGINAL AND RUST FREE JEEP LIKE THIS ONE ARE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND... I HAVE SEEN VERY SHARP 4X4 COMANCHE'S GO FOR AS MUCH AS $14,000 RECENTLY... THIS IS NOT A SHOW JEEP BY ANY MEANS, BUT WOULDN'T TAKE ALL THAT MUCH TO BRING IT TO A VERY NICE LEVEL...

WHAT DOES IT NEED ??? NOTHING---UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO MORE TO IT... IT DOES HAVE SOME PEELING ON THE CLEAR COAT, A FEW SMALL DINGS HERE AND THERE BUT VERY MINOR... THE SPOTS THAT HAD SMALL SCRAPES AND DINGS WHERE SURFACE RUST (DUE TO BARE METAL) HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AND PUT IN PRIMER BY A PRO BODY GUY... IT WOULDN'T TAKE MORE THAN A FEW HOURS LABOR HERE AND THERE TO HAVE IT READY FOR FRESH PAINT... ALTHOUGH THE TIRES STILL HAVE GOOD AND DECENT RUBBER THEY ARE OLDER AND WOULD NEED TO BE CHANGED OUT IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD TO GO CROSS COUNTRY, BUT FOR A FISHING VEHICLE THEY ARE FINE AND HAVE LOTS OF SERVICE LIFE LEFT... THE A/C NEEDS FREON...

THERE IS A SLIDESHOW OF 37 PICS LOCATED HERE---http://s394.photobucket.com/user/IMBUZZZ/slideshow/1988%20JEEP%20COMANCHE%20PICKUP

GOT QUESTIONS ??? NEED A CLOSE UP PIC OF ANYTHING ??? JUST LET ME KNOW...  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE...  THANKS...

Jeep Renegade signed by the Rolling Stones brings in $46k for charity

Thu, Jan 1 2015

What do Jeep and the Rolling Stones have in common? Well, they've both have been around for longer than most of us, they seem just about indestructible, and not long after one shipped out from America to help save Britain, the other lead the British Invasion of America. But the two enduring icons also came together this past summer as one sponsored the other's European tour. And while they were in Rome, Jeep had the members of the legendary rock group sign a new Renegade that just went up for auction. Bearing the signatures of the immortal Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, this star-studded, pint-sized off-roader – the first Jeep to be built in Italy – sold for an impressive $46,000 to an anonymous bidder. That's about two-and-a-half times what the new pebble-crawler is expected to sell for when it reaches showrooms. Proceeds from the sale, handled by Charitybuzz.com, will benefit Community Links, a social-inclusion organization based in London. View 56 Photos

Mopar introduces winter tire and wheel packages

Wed, Dec 2 2015

Winter is coming, and Mopar will try to help drivers stay safe in the cold weather this year by offering a winter tire and wheel package for a variety of FCA US vehicles for the first time. The packages combine everything drivers need to be prepared for slick roads, including winter tires, steel wheels, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensors. Even better, the company delivers them mounted, balanced, and ready for installation. Customers can order the bundles from dealers now. Mopar offers packages with the General Altimax Arctic tire on the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country, Jeep Cherokee, and Chrysler 200. All- and rear-wheel drive configurations of the Chrysler 300 get the Michelin X-Ice Xi3, and the all- and rear-drive Dodge Charger models use the Continental WinterContact SI. Depending on the vehicle, prices vary between $242 and $292 per wheel, and Mopar will expand the program to even more models next year. Spending the extra money on winter tires really can make a difference. Experts are clear that the specialized rubber simply works better when the weather gets cold. They can shorten braking distances and improve traction – even with all-wheel drive. Plus, winter tires can often last for more than one year, which spreads out the investment. The all-new Mopar winter wheel assemblies are available for order for a variety of FCA US vehicles. Assemblies include a winter tire, steel rim and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and are delivered mounted and balanced, so you or your dealership can quickly and easily pop off all-season rims and rubber and put on cold-weather appropriate gear. "Mopar is rolling out our first-ever offering of winter wheel assemblies for those customers who desire a little extra control during the cold weather seasons," said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA – Global.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: Fall colors tour [w/video]

Thu, Dec 11 2014

The Trailhawk's rugged good looks were right at home against the backdrop of changing seasons. Regardless of where you choose to call home, you've probably seen, or at least heard, about the Pure Michigan ads, showing off all the splendor that the Mitten State has to offer. You can make fun of them all you want (several spoofs already exist), but as a native, I fully stand behind the idea that Michigan is a truly gorgeous place. The western coast along Lake Michigan and the northern half of the Lower Peninsula are seriously pretty, and vastly different from the southeastern area that houses big cities like Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, and so on. Beyond that, the Upper Peninsula is the closest you'll get to seeing vast spoils of untouched wilderness, and trust me – it's truly pretty. I've seen the world, but I still feel all warm and fuzzy every time I venture north to experience all the vistas that my own state has to offer. In the autumn months, the changing leaves in Michigan put on quite a display. Sure, this happens all over the world, but we truly embrace autumn in the Wolverine State, and practically every Detroit-based Autoblog staffer has gone on at least one fall colors tour to the northern Lower Peninsula to take it all in. That's exactly what associate multimedia producer Chris McGraw and I did just over a month ago, behind the wheel of our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The Trailhawk's rugged good looks were right at home against the backdrop of changing seasons, and we opted to capture the whole experience on video for this latest long-term update. The Tunnel of Trees is a picturesque stretch of Michigan's M-119 highway that starts just northeast of Petoskey. As you can see in the video above, the Tunnel of Trees is a picturesque stretch of Michigan's M-119 highway that starts just northeast of Petoskey and follows Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay. This winding road through the woods goes on for nearly 30 miles, largely unobstructed by neighborhoods, fueling stations, shops, or roadside fodder, and spits you out at the famous Legs Inn in Harbor Springs. (Top-notch Polish food, if you're hungry.) From there, you can either continue north toward Mackinac City and the Mackinac Bridge that connects Michigan's lower and upper peninsulas, or you can turn around and take in all the goodness again.
