1984 Jeep Cj7 - Frame Off Restoration, Better Than New And In Show Condition on 2040-cars

Year:1984 Mileage:129500
Location:

Raleigh, North Carolina, United States

Raleigh, North Carolina, United States

Beautifully restored 1984 Jeep CJ7.  Your chance to own a 30 year CJ7 that looks better than it would have new.  No corners cut in this frame off restoration.  Restored by a professional restoration expert who has done cars featured on the covers of several mainstream Hot Rod and car magazines as his own vehicle .  Over $25K invested.  This is better than new quality and ready to show.  Only driven less than 500 miles since restoration.  Not for Muddin' unless you really have a vendetta against a show quality Jeep.  The restoration was done within the last year.  This was not a rust bucket Jeep filled with a bunch of putty and painted. Almost all the parts in this beauty are new except for the classic touches like original working gauges.  Even the bolts were replaced on the majority of the vehicle.  Immaculate $6K+ paint job in Sunburst Orange Metallic that is perfect.  No scratches, runs or anything close in the paint job.  The interior is all brand new.  Denim waterproof seats in light grey that fold forward and new matching backseat as well.  Kenwood stereo with amplifier and speaker box all built in under the back seat.  New parts include LED taillights, bumpers, billet shifters, 33" tires, polished aluminum wheels, billet knobs, grill, radiator, battery w/kill junction, shocks, wheel spacers, brakes, larger fender flares, KC lights, windshield, bikini top and Safari doors.

The motor is the original I6 258 that is known for running forever.  Has 129K original miles on it.  The motor has been gone through by a professional mechanic and tuned up with all new hoses, belts, gaskets, wires, oil pump, timing belt, water pump, power steering.  No leaks, ticks, or noises from this one that you don't expect.  This Jeep runs like a brand new vehicle.

This is a Show quality vehicle and does prefer a garage and nice weather.  It does not include a hard top and only has the bikini top and back window cover.  When you see it, you won't care because you will not want to drive it in the snow and rain anyway.

Great for the Jeep enthusiast that just wants to show his Jeep pride and get looks everywhere he drives this vehicle.   You won't find a nicer 84 CJ7 around.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler wants mountains, not a stage

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We've said it before and we'll say it again - while we usually grow tired of the endless barrage of special edition vehicles, that isn't the case with the Jeep Wrangler. Every unique model we encounter seems cooler than the one before it, and this Willys Wheeler Edition is no exception.
The Willys Wheeler package is sort of a throwback to early Jeep CJ models, and wears "Willys" stickers on the hood. There's also a gloss black grille, rock rails to protect the side sills, and unique 17-inch black wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires. For proper off-road prowess, this special edition uses a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.73 final drive ratio.
Look for the Willys edition to hit dealerships early next year, starting at $25,795 for the two-door version and $29,595 for the four-door. Feel free to read all about it in the press release below.
