If you are looking for a cool Jeep, your search is over. I have a Custom 1984 Jeep CJ7 that has been through a complete nut and bolt frame off restoration completed in 2007 and still looks good today, about 15,000 miles later.
It was built to be a driver and is a good one at that. It has a rebuilt 360 engine from a 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that runs great. It has a rebuilt 727 Torque Flight transmission with B&M shift kit. It has Chevy 6 lug axles with 12 bolt rear end and Dana 44 front with 4.11 gear. Jeep has not been off road since its restoration, but was built to go anywhere. Tires are 35/12.50/15 that have about 95% tread on them. Interior is all new in 2013 with high back seats, fold down rear seat and carpeting. The paint job is still clean except for minor flaws. Hood is dented slightly due wind blowing open while at a car show. Jeep is still very presentable and receives many comments and double takes from it's appearance. Pictures and receipts of restoration are available. The restoration started with a clean straight solid body. Includes the full cover with doors, bikini top and a cover to use to keep the rain out when top is off. This jeep is a good driver for a Jeep. Thanks for looking. |

Jeep Renegade gets Riptide and Frostbite customs at SEMA
Wed, 05 Nov 2014The cute little Jeep Renegade isn't even on sale yet, but here at SEMA, the Mopar folks are giving us a taste of what's possible for the little CUV in the big wide world of customization. Part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' massive SEMA spread, the Renegade shows up in fresh Riptide and and Frostbite guises.
First up, the Riptide arrives in Vibrance Grandeur Blue with black wheels and a big ol' Jeep Performance Parts logo on the rear pillar. There are a few black accents elsewhere on the exterior, and a surfboard carrier rides up on the roof. The blue color scheme also finds its way inside the Renegade, on the instrument cluster and side panels, with contrasting white accents.
By contrast, the Frostbite Renegade reverses the Riptide's color scheme, with white being the main paint of choice, with blue accents abound. And inside, Katzkin seats wear blue upholstery. The Frostbite is a pretty functional creation, as well, with a Mopar ski/snowboard roof rack and a Jeep Performance Parts rock rail guard.
North Carolina driver charged for flattening Trump sign
Thu, Mar 17 2016Police in Wilmington, NC are investigating a viral video that shows a local man driving off the road to run over a Trump for President campaign sign. Julien Schuessler of Wilmington posted a video to Facebook on March 15 showing him driving his white Jeep off the road in a reckless manner to smash a Trump sign. He captioned the video, "I love having a Jeep sometimes." The video immediately went viral, reaching nearly a million views and 25,000 shares in less than twenty-four hours. Any elation Schuessler may have felt at having his video go viral was short lived, though. According to WWAY, Wilmington Police were tipped off to the existence of the video on the afternoon of March 16. They were, understandably, less than pleased. In an official tweet, WPD stated that they were aware of the video and were investigating. A spokesperson for the WPD stated that Schuessler faces multiple charges for his little stunt, including hit and run, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane control. WWAY reached out to Schuessler for comment, but he has declined to respond. Fri, May 8 2015The Jeep Wrangler TJ holds a dear place in my heart. When they were introduced, the return to circular headlights helped pull my dad into the dealer, and he bought one. A few years later, I learned how to drive a stick in that Jeep. Now, MotorWeek has fired up the time machine for a look at the '97 Wrangler as part of the Retro Review series. One of the great things about these videos is that they offer a chance to see if nostalgia lives up to reality. In this situation, that seems to be the mostly case. Even when new, MotorWeek finds a lot to praise about the TJ, especially in terms of handling and style. It's not all perfect, though, with a major complaint about the braking.
