1984 Jeep Cj7 on 2040-cars
Fernandina Beach, Florida, United States
1984 JEEP CJ7 This is an incomplete project. Must be finished. You can not drive this home. You are bidding on a 1984 Jeep CJ7 project. I have done a tremendous amount of work on this project. I have recently purchased me a brand new JK Unlimited so I am selling this one to put the cash in my new one. My loss is your gain. There will not be a reserve on this auction. It will be sold to the highest bidder. I have a clean Florida title in hand. Below is a list of what has been done so far. Small Block Chevy V8 Conversion Fresh Rebuilt Turbo 400 Transmission New Lokar Automatic Shifter New Twin Sticks on the Dana 300 Transfer Case 2" Shackle Lift New Body Bushings with 1" Lift New Aluminum Intake New Edlebrock Carb New Aluminum Radiator New Electric Fan New Chrome Power Steering Pump and Chrome Brackets New Chrome 100 amp Alternator with Chrome Brackets New Water Pump New Clear Cap HEI Distributor New Electric Fuel Pump Best Top Seats Front and Rear (Not new but in great shape with no tears) New Headlight Bezels New Parking Lights New Tail Lights New Marker Lights New Rancho 5000 Shocks New Shorty Block Hugger Headers New Plug Wires and Plugs New Oil and Temp Gauges Has Spice Soft Top and Soft Doors With No Tears and Clear Windows The Jeep is in overall great shape. It was painted by the previous owner and there is a few spots of minor rust. A little around where the roll bar mounts to the floor and there were a couple of small spots in the front floor pans. As you can see from the pics I have installed new diamond plate floor pans and also fabricated some diamond plate sections that go around the roll bar. None of this takes away from the appearance. The diamond plate actually looks really good. You are more than welcome to come and see it before you buy but this must be done before auction ends. Rear drive shaft is in and I have the front one that still needs to be installed. 4X4 works fine. Does have power steering. I also have a matching spice center console, spare tire, rear spare tire carrier, full wiring harness and a factory Jeep CJ hitch that goes with it. Just installed new dual thrush mufflers. The brakes still need bleeding but you can drive it up onto a trailer. It still needs some work to be completed but you are more than welcome to price out everything that has been done and you will see you are getting a heck of a deal for a project that is probably eighty percent complete. I'm also open to partial trades and cash. Let me know what you got. If I like your offer I will end the auction early. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required into Paypal within 24 hours of auction close. The balance will be due in cash upon pick up. The Jeep must be picked up within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are made. Please keep in mind that any arrangements beyond the 7 day pick up will require the balance to still be paid within seven days. Good luck and Happy Bidding! |

Car Club USA: Moab Jeep Jamboree
Thu, Jan 22 2015Today Autoblog is excited to premiere its latest original video series, Car Club USA. Car Club USA's debut episode features the Just Jeeps club of Omaha, including a father-son duo traveling to Moab, UT to brave the treacherous trails. Brian is behind the wheel, as his father guides him through the most dangerous geographical features Moab's red desert has to offer. Joining them are Gene and Jean, an older married couple from Minnesota whose modified Jeep Wrangler – like its owners – knows no bounds. "We're in our seventies now," explained Jean. "We could be sitting at home in a rocking chair watching TV, but we'd rather do this." Also hitting the trails is Matt, a Californian who looks to pay homage to his father by exploring southern Utah in a World War II-era Jeep Willys. "This was our stomping ground," said Matt. "That's why I chose to come to Utah for my big vacation this year, in his memory, to see some of the places we used to go together, and have fun and do some Jeeping." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. Jeep SUV Off-Road Vehicles Car Club USA Videos
NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
