Selling this for my 73 year old Dad. He bought it to take on his mountain acreage in East Tennessee. He just dropped it off to me here in Nashville to sell for someone to else to enjoy next. I have a 3 ring binder with all receipts including all engine machine work and specs going back to 2005. There are dozens of them.
Completely rebuilt AMC 290 V8 from a '69 Javelin ($6500 in receipts) with headers and dual exhaust, who's who of electrical components (everything's new), Holley 650 4bbl, Mallory ignition, new battery, coil, distributor, water pump (basically everything is new on engine), T15 4 speed with new clutch. A lot of the work was professionally done at Essentially Off Road in Murfreesboro Tennessee a few years ago. Less than 1000 miles on the Jeep since. This CJ sounds great, runs and drives great, and it is very reliable. Build sheet includes Atlas 2 transfer case, front and rear lockers, heim joint steering, new steering box and pump, new Superior rear axles, new front and rear seals, bearings as well as new ring and pinions, Warn hubs, new U joints, custom drive-shafts with heavy duty U joints. It has hard and soft doors and 2 bikini tops. No full top. Also 8K winch with remote, 35" tires with 95% tread, full cage, custom bumpers and spare tire holder, 35" spare tire, fog lights, CD player, console, Bestop seats (seats good under covers), seat belts, and rear tool box. This CJ has a very solid tub with TJ flares, nerf rocker bar. It is well sorted and ready for the street and definitely the trail! I have a couple of transport companies I can refer. The cost is usually .75/loaded mile. Let me know, I'm happy to help. I reserve the right to end the auction because it is for sale locally. Non refundable $500 deposit due at the end of the auction. Zero or negative feedback bidders will have their bids retracted if you do not contact me before you bid. All questions answered. Includes all receipts and records. THANKS |

2015 Jeep Renegade to start at $17,995, Trailhawk rings up at $25,995
Thu, Jan 22 2015Prices for the 2015 Jeep Renegade have leaked onto a enthusiast forum ahead of the official embargo on pricing and driving impressions, which breaks at 12:01 AM Friday. They come from a video interview with Jeep CEO Mike Manley, that was allegedly set live accidentally. It's since been pulled down. At this point, it's unclear if the listed prices include any destination charges, so they could climb slightly higher or lower. In its most basic form, the two-wheel-drive Renegade Sport will go on sale for just $17,995. For that price, you get, um, not a lot. Really. The entry level Renegade doesn't even offer standard air conditioning – it's part of a package that includes heated power mirrors and cruise control. The $21,295 Latitude adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo and USB connectivity. The top-end Renegade Limited, meanwhile, starts at $24,795 and makes standard items of the heated, powered leather seats, dual-zone climate control, seven-inch TFT display in the instrument cluster, auto-dimming mirror and 18-inch wheels. The Limited also adds a number of aesthetic tweaks that spruce up the Renegade's exterior, including brightwork around the grille, mirror caps, taillights and roof rails. The above prices, of course, are only for the front-drive Renegade. Add $2,000 to the above prices for all-wheel drive. You won't need to add that to the all-wheel-drive-only Trailhawk, which starts at $25,995 and comes with a slew of off-road features, including a bespoke front and rear fascia, with the former sporting the world's most adorable pair of red tow hooks. Mechanically, there's an exclusive version of the brand's Active Drive all-wheel-drive system that includes a 20-to-one crawl ratio and a dedicated Rock mode for the Selec-Terrain system and 17-inch wheels. The cabin, meanwhile, is home to Ruby Red accents. While we have basic trim prices, we're still without more specific details, including the cost of marquee options like the My Sky roof, as well as the plethora of options packages that will be available when the CUV arrives in dealers. We'll have our full review of the all-new Renegade available when the embargo on driving impressions breaks Friday. In the meantime, let us know what you think of these prices. Are they where you expected them to be? Higher? Lower? Have your say in Comments. Related Video:
Jeep spied testing new compact crossover
Tue, Nov 24 2015Jeep is preparing a new crossover to slot in between the Renegade and Cherokee. Spied here for the first time, the new model is expected to arrive sometime around the middle of the new year. And with it, FCA's off-road brand will finally have a successor for the Compass and Patriot. From the little bit we can project at this early stage, the new C-segment Jeep is expected to ride on a modified version of the platform that underpins the Renegade and Fiat 500X. Motivation is tipped to come from the company's new 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane inline-four mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. We expect it to come in front and all-wheel-drive versions. The big question mark at this point is what the vehicle will be called. As the replacement for both the Compass and the Patriot, this model could adopt either nameplate – or it could wear a new one entirely. If the Renegade and 500X are anything to go by, the new Jeep could be offered as a Fiat as well, which could easily be dubbed the 500XL. We'll have to wait and see, but in the meantime you can check out the prototype – albeit in camouflaged form – in the image gallery above. Related Video:
2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.
