that's pretty much untampered with and has the original color This absolutely rust free California Jeep, still shows all the factory rivet marks and the natural "waves" that the jeep had when it was born. The body is excellent and about as clean as you will find. The paint is very nice with only a couple of very minor scratches/chips. The floorboards and frame are pretty much perfect. 69700 miles from new. Power brakes and power steering. Interior : The interior does have one small scratch in one front seat as you can see in picture. 4x4 works fine but I've not had it out in the sand dunes or mudding . Engine runs good with plenty of power . It has a four speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly it runs and drives very well. It comes with the removable hardtop and soft double doors. Not the perfect fit but they do close well. The hardtop has some chips/scratches in the paint from being stored in the garage. It also has a bikini top. Some Jeep Cherokees and Chrysler 200s to get standard stop-start in 2015
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Automakers the world over are striving to find ways to make their models more efficient, and Chrysler has a solution for some versions of the 2015 Chrysler 200 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee (2014 model shown). The Tigershark 2.4-liter four-cylinder in the 200 and the 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 in the Cherokee are getting a slight boost later this year thanks to the addition of Chrysler's Engine Stop-Start system as standard equipment. The company predicts modest gains - a three-percent improvement in fuel economy and a three percent reduction in CO2 emissions with the new tech compared to without it. While it's not much, those who sit in traffic a lot may see a difference.
Chrysler's stop/start system uses a high-speed starter motor to restart the vehicle in a claimed a third of a second. It works by detecting when the vehicle comes to a stop and turning off the engine. A more powerful battery maintains all of the model's accessories while it sits. When the driver lets off the brake, the car starts up again to drive away. There is even a button in the cabin to turn the ESS off, if desired.
The Jeep will be the first to receive ESS in the third quarter of this year to coincide with the start of production of the 2015 model-year version. The 200 will follow in the fourth quarter as a rolling change in production.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk undisguised with Hellcat power

Mount one to the top of a 6.2L Hemi V8 and pack it under the hood of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and you have a recipe for a completely bonkers, wholly unnecessary, and totally sweet SUV. We've known for a while that the so-called Trackhawk, essentially a Hellcat Jeep, is on its way. We now have photos of a completely undisguised test vehicle on public Michigan roads trying to make its way to SRT headquarters. Jeep already makes an SRT version of the Grand Cherokee. That version only puts out a measly 475 hp and 470 pound-feet of torque from a 6.4L Hemi. After developing a couple of 707-hp Dodges, SRT felt that Jeep needed some of that Hellcat love too. In the photos, we can see that, aside from the front fascia, the Trackhawk will look fairly similar to the standard SRT Grand Cherokee. The front retains the requisite Jeep grille, though it's been narrowed a bit to make room for larger air intakes below. The Hellcat engine creates a lot of heat, so designers needed to make sure the beast has plenty of room to breathe. New LED fog lights have been integrated into lower air ducts. We still don't know many of the Trackhawk's finer details, like the exact price or release date. We do know that Jeep claims a 3.5-second 0-60 time, making it both the quickest-accelerating Hellcat-powered vehicle and one of the quickest-accelerating vehicles in the world. EV cost burden pushing automakers to their limits, says Stellantis' CEO Tavares
Wed, Dec 1 2021DETROIT — Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said external pressure on automakers to quickly shift to electric vehicles potentially threatens jobs and vehicle quality as producers struggle with EVs' higher costs. Governments and investors want car manufacturers to speed up the transition to electric vehicles, but the costs are "beyond the limits" of what the auto industry can sustain, Tavares said in an interview at the Reuters Next conference released Wednesday. "What has been decided is to impose on the automotive industry electrification that brings 50% additional costs against a conventional vehicle," he said. "There is no way we can transfer 50% of additional costs to the final consumer because most parts of the middle class will not be able to pay." Automakers could charge higher prices and sell fewer cars, or accept lower profit margins, Tavares said. Those paths both lead to cutbacks. Union leaders in Europe and North America have warned tens of thousands of jobs could be lost. Automakers need time for testing and ensuring that new technology will work, Tavares said. Pushing to speed that process up "is just going to be counter productive. It will lead to quality problems. It will lead to all sorts of problems," he said. Tavares said Stellantis is aiming to avoid cuts by boosting productivity at a pace far faster than industry norm. "Over the next five years we have to digest 10% productivity a year ... in an industry which is used to delivering 2 to 3% productivity" improvement, he said. "The future will tell us who is going to be able to digest this, and who will fail," Tavares said. "We are putting the industry on the limits." Electric vehicle costs are expected to fall, and analysts project that battery electric vehicles and combustion vehicles could reach cost parity during the second half of this decade. Like other automakers that earn profits from combustion vehicles, Stellantis is under pressure from both establishment automakers such as GM, Ford, VW and Hyundai, as well as start-ups such as Tesla and Rivian. The latter electric vehicle companies are far smaller in terms of vehicle sales and employment. But investors have given Tesla and Rivian higher market valuations than the owner of the highly profitable Jeep and Ram brands. That investor pressure is compounded by government policies aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The European Union, California and other jurisdictions have set goals to end sales of combustion vehicles by 2035.
