For Sale or Trade: 1979 Jeep CJ-7 4x4 Quadretrack (Has a YJ Front clip on it hence the square head lights). We used this jeep for local hunting in the mountains here and since everything has been closed off it has not been used for 3-4 years. Factory Inline 258 ci motor, 33in tires w Rock Crawler Wheels. I believe it has Dana axles front and rear but I don't remember which ones off the top of my head. The following things were done 4-5 years ago. Full custom roll cage, rhino lined interior, new seats, new top, wench, new shocks, Disc brakes, tie rods, motor mounts, u-joints, trans mount, hub seals, shackle bushings, starter etc. I have over 10K in receipts since 2006. Things it needs to get up and running again: Carburetor or rebuild the one that's on there, battery, rear engine seal, and possibly an alternator and gas for sure(Its Empty). There are a few minor dents on the hood. The jeep passed smog the last time we registered it which I'm guessing was 3-4 years ago. Clear title in hand. It is a solid jeep that has serious climbing power. I will trade plus possible cash for a fishing boat, center console or? Mako, Grady White, Whaler, CABO, Black Fin, Bertram, Hatteras Etc. Also a 60-63 VW preferably a ragtop or other older VW model, Beach House rental or some other vacation spot. Make Cash offer or let me know what you have. Jeep Grand Cherokee, BMW i8, Ford F-150 win 2015 Green Car Awards in DC [w/video]
Tue, Jan 27 2015There were three shiny trophies handed out at the Washington Auto Show last week by Green Car Journal, and they went to three different examples of what "green" means in the automotive industry today. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won the award for the 2015 Green SUV of the Year, the BMW i8 was named the 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year and the Ford F-150 took the 2015 Green Car Technology Award honor. There is a case to be made that the aluminum body of the new Ford truck will make a bigger impact in the overall fuel usage in the US than almost any other vehicle, given the numbers of F-150s that Ford sells each year. The B20 biodiesel-capable Jeep gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. And the i8 puts all sorts of new, fuel-saving technologies into an attractive package. 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab
Fri, 11 Jan 2013These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily
Wed, 19 Nov 2014In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
