up for auction is a recently restored 1974 jeep cj5, it sits on 33 in tires with a 2 in suspension lift and 2 in body lift. ox axle lockers front and back with 4.10 ring gears professionally installed. t18 4 speed trans, dana 20 transfer case, 304 v8 small block bored .30 over mild cam, all new internals and reworked heads. thorley bros stainless steel headers, hei ignition, on board air with york ac compressor 1 gallon tank. rewired with painless wiring harness. new vdo gauges speedo, oil pressure, voltage, temp, and tach. corbeau racing seats, front fog lights, summit under dash heater with under dash ducting and defrost. new bikini top, new shocks, new steering stabilizer. led taillights, in line electric fuel pump, electric fans with kill switch as well as a manual switch. warn 9000 lb winch. recent inspection, recent alignment, runs and drives good, tracks straight and goes 60 at 2200-2300 rpm. im sure im missing something please contact me if you have anymore questions. vehicle is also listed local

Jeep lays out 5-year plan, including rebirth of Grand Wagoneer and new C-segment offering

Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Machionne presented a five-year plan for the company brands this morning, with Jeep first up on a long day of presentation. Jeep's head honcho Michael Manley wasted no time in laying out what the foreseeable future will look like for what he calls the "lead global brand" of the company.
Big goals for the next half-decade will include expanding the lineup from five nameplates built in one country, to six nameplates build in six countries. That expansion of models will include both a three-row competitor, and, of course, a small vehicle to slot below Cherokee. The company is also seeking to add a whopping 1,300 dealers over the next few years, to sell all this new metal, and has an aggressive goal of doubling Jeep sales by the time 2018 rolls around.
As expected, that first salvo from the off-road brand will be the debut of the much ballyhooed Renegade small crossover in the third quarter of this year. Jeep has already designated that Renegade will get refreshed for the 2017 model year, as well.

Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.

The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
