For sale is a Right Hand Drive 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

The Jeep runs well and is currently being ran on a mail route.  The jeep has been well taken care of and routinely is being in for mechanical servicing.  A list of parts installed in the last few years are listed below.  The previous owner said they did hit a deer, a few months after purchasing there was a hail storm and it has some hail damage.  The hail damage was on the hood and top.  The hood has been replaced and no hail damage is on the hood anymore, but there is some hail damage on the top.  Also, the summer of 2013, a city street sweeper hit the Jeep but all repairs have been made and no damage is detectable from the accident.  This has a salvage title.

The Jeep Cherokee does have 4 Wheel Drive but is in need of a front axle.  The 4 Wheel Drive can be engaged but is not recommended to drive for a long period of time and the mechanic said it is recommended to get a different front axle if you want to use the 4 Wheel Drive because they have noticed metal in the transfer case fluid.  The gear ratio is 3.55 with ABS.  The airbag light has flashed on and off a few times in the last month, but this has not affected how the Jeep drives.  At this time, to my knowledge, these are the only mechanical issues.

There are a number of scratches on the front  driver side door from mailboxes, the rear view mirror on the driver side is flexible and has some scrapes on the back from mailboxes.  There is also rust underneath and a few places on the body.  There is rust holes on the wheel wells but I have had a body shop patch the rust holes so no gravel from gravel roads comes in from the wheel wells.  The front passenger seat is missing the belt buckle and the back driver side door does not open from the inside but you are able to open the back driver door from the outside.

I have put new winter tires on, that were worth over $700, in the summer of 2013 and they are in excellent shape.  Also, there is an external flashing  strobe, there is a internal switched that can be turned off and on from the inside for the strobe to be flashing during your mail route.  The flashing strobe was $150 and has 10 to 16 joules of brightness.

I have bought vehicles online, if you need assistance on how to get a shipping company to pick up the Cherokee, I can assist with the knowledge I have acquired on how shipping companies pick up vehicles door to door if you are in need of any help with shipping.

Chrysler recalls 2013 Ram pickups, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Wed, 17 Jul 2013

Chrysler's spate of successful products is about to be marred by a trio of recalls. The Pentastar is recalling 51,477 Ram trucks and Jeep SUVs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been no reported accidents, injuries or deaths related to the affected vehicles.
The largest action covers the Ram 1500, which is seeing 45,961 trucks being recalled. Models built between June 26, 2012 and February 5, 2013 are being recalled due to a potential software issue in the electronic stability control. Apparently, the system can be randomly deactivated upon vehicle startup.
Chrysler is also recalling 4,458 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Covering everything but the SRT models, the potentially defective SUVs were built between January 14 and March 20, 2013. This recall focuses on "premium headlights," which means cars equipped with LED running lights. During the switch from the bright daytime running lamp setting to the low-intensity parking light setting, an electrical spike can cause one of the Jeep's computers to go into a safe mode, turning off the LEDs. This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.

The Jeep Wrangler is finally getting modern headlights for 2017

Thu, Sep 1 2016

Some of Jeep's headlights leave a lot to be desired – namely light output. In particular, the halogen lamps on the Wrangler and Cherokee have been called out by the IIHS as among the worst on the market. Things should improve for 2017, as Jeep is addressing the sorry illumination by adding LED or HID headlight options for the Wrangler, Cherokee, and Renegade. Thank heavens (or, you know, the IIHS for upping its lighting requirements). In the Wrangler's case, the decision to develop an LED for a single model year of the JK before its replacement arrives – or two if you count the extended run of the current model alongside the new one – might seem strange, but we aren't complaining. The current headlights are one retro cue that sorely needed eradicating, plus this almost guarantees LEDs for the next-gen model. Any 2017 Wrangler can be equipped with the new LED headlights and fog lights – the LED lighting group will be optional on the Sport and Sport S, and standard on Sahara and Rubicon. The Cherokee is a slightly different story – HID headlights are currently optional on that model's Limited and High Altitude trims and standard on the range-topping Overland. Next year, the brighter, more focused lamps will be standard on everything but the base Sport model, where they'll be optional. For the wee Renegade, meanwhile, HIDs are a "late availability" option as part of the safety and security group on Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trim levels. If you want a 2017 Renegade Sport with the better lights, though, you're out of luck. Jeep hasn't announced pricing for its 2017 offerings, so we don't know what sort of premium the LED and HID headlamps will add. We just know that whatever the price, it will be worth it. And you can bet each unit will have some sort of Easter egg Jeep design detail on it.
