This 1999 Jeep Cherokee is in good condition and runs great. The Jeep is my daily driver and handles very well on and offroad. Steering and all suspension components are tight with little wear. This Jeep has the high pinion Dana 30 front differential and the Chystler 9.25 rear differential. Like I said this Jeep runs great and has never overheated on me. The previous owner put a new radiator, water pump, and thermostat in it about a year ago. The battery is about 6-8 months old. Interior is in good condition with no rips in any of the seats. It does not have carpet, because I just got done adding sound deadening material to the floor and all doors for a more quit ride. Ive made a list of some of the mods this Jeep has below: -4.5" Rubicon Express Super flex lift kit with lift leaf springs (no lift blocks) -Rubicon Express front and rear shocks -Rubicon Express steering stabilizer -Currie Heavy Duty Steering System -Rustys Offroad Steering box gusset -Custom Front bumper -Custom rock sliders -Roof mount tire carrier with High Lift jack -16" Rubicon wheels with matching spare on 265/75R/16 tires -Front 6000K HID lights Hi/Lo Beam -Slip Yoke Eliminator Kit- New U Joints in Rear Drive shaft -CB Radio With Antenna -CD Player-Infinty Speakers-10" Sub with 250W Amp -Airmax Air Intake kit -Jet Power Control Module |

Going high-tech, the 4x4 way
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
NHTSA closes investigation on 4.7M FCA power modules, no recall
Thu, Jul 30 2015FCA US hasn't had the best time with recalls as of late. Not only did the company recently agree to greater safety oversight and paid $105 million to the government, that came just days after hacking fears prompted a 1.4-million model recall campaign. However, a recent decision to close an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration means that the automaker doesn't have to worry about another major recall possibly affecting 4.7 million vehicles, according to the agency's report (as a PDF). Last September, the Center for Auto Safety petitioned NHTSA to investigate an alleged problem with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on these FCA US models. The group claimed that a fault with the component could cause a variety of maladies, including stalls, not starting, catching fire, unintended acceleration, and airbag non-deployment. At the time, it also submitted 70 cases where this had reportedly happened. According to NHTSA, "no valid evidence was presented in support of claims related to airbag non-deployment, unintended acceleration, or fire resulting from TIPM faults and these claims were found to be wholly without merit based on review of the field data and design of the relevant systems and components." The agency did find signs of an issue with the fuel pump relay in some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos, but FCA US issued recalls for the problem in September 2014 and February 2015. Without anything else to go on, the Feds don't think it's worth investigating this topic any more.
Blake Anderson drives an over-the-top patriotic Jeep
Thu, Jan 15 2015Comedian Blake Anderson is seeing growing success as one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central show Workaholics. Not surprisingly, when you get your own TV show, there's a deep desire to celebrate with a big purchase, a car perhaps. Anderson did just that, but as opposed to plunking his money down on a Porsche or Mercedes-Benz, he took a much more patriotic route. Anderson described his ride as "an American Jeep" in an interview with Conan O'Brien, and he didn't mean that it was from the AMC years of the off-road brand's ownership. Instead, this one is as patriotic as they come thanks to a beautifully regal bald eagle covering the hood with the nation's flag as the background running up at least to the windshield. Hear Anderson's entire story of buying this red, white and blue off-roader in the video above.
