Up for sale is my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. It has about 162,000 on the body, the engine was put it when I bought it and it had 80,000 on it. I have had it for just about a year and never have a chance to use it. I just installed a 3" RC lift, which actually lifted it about 4". So it has new shocks all around, new coils in the front, new longer sway bar links with all new bushings, new steering dampener, and 30x9.5x15 tires that have almost 100% tread left on rims that have less back spacing so it pushes the tire out for a wider stance. It looks good and increases stability. I also installed the new front bumper and fog lights. Considering its age and the fact that its a Jeep, it does have its cosmetic problems. There is a dent in both rear doors, paint is still good. Both rocker panels are rusted out, I have two new replacement rocker panels that I will install if I get around to it, if not I will include them and explain how to do it. I already started drilling out the spot welds on the drivers side just need to remove doors to get to the rest of them. Then they pop right off, paint the new ones, and I planned on using 3M panel glue to re attach them, no welding. This is the only rust on the vehicle. Someone did key an inappropriate word on the hood. Its not big and I barely notice it. I upgraded the fuel injectors to a four hole style which is suppose to improve idle and mpg. I have replaced the O2 sensors, spark plugs, cap/rotor, wires, thermostat/housing, neutral safety switch, rear hatch shocks/bumpers, etc. I took all the seats out and machine washed the covers. The drivers seat has a faint stain on the bottom but the rest all came out looking close to new. Like all Cherokees the vinyl on side of seat has a tear. Just from the cold temp this winter the windshield has a crack in it. I got quote $150 to replace it with labor, but it isn't in the line of sight so I didn't bother. Just got an alignment as well. Runs and drives really nice and doesn't have the death wobble problem a lot of Cherokees have. Every part and repair I have listed was done in the past 3 months and there has only been 500 miles put on since. No check engine lights. It gets the best mpg possible with a Cherokee. The Jeep is by no means perfect, but with a little TLC it could be in (what I would consider) amazing condition. Please email me with any questions. Sorry its a little dirty in the picture. Thanks.

FCA delays Grand Wagoneer and next-generation heavy-duty Ram trucks
Mon, Dec 12 2016The upcoming Jeep Grand Wagoneer has had a tumultuous gestation thus far. At one point it was essentially confirmed, but later it was rumored to have been cancelled. In that context, the latest report from Automotive News is something of a mixed blessing. According to the publication, the Grand Wagoneer has simply been delayed, as has the next-generation Ram heavy duty truck line. This does not seem to affect the fully redesigned Ram 1500, which was previously reported to have been pushed back slightly to 2019. Automotive News says the information came from unnamed sources at the company. Nothing was said about how long the vehicles would be delayed. The publication also conjectures that FCA is delaying the models to save some money to help cover the company's $7 billion of debt , since re-tooling both the heavy-duty truck plant and eventual Grand Wagoneer plant will be expensive. View 6 Photos We reached out to Chrysler for more information on the subject, but the company wouldn't comment on the report. Even so, we wouldn't be too surprised if FCA is indeed delaying these products. The company has delayed a number of vehicles in recent years. In fact nearly every major FCA truck and SUV, including the Grand Wagoneer and Ram line, were delayed about a year and a half ago. We certainly hope the company doesn't delay the Grand Wagoneer for too long, since it's possible it will have a price tag of over $130,000. The profit margins on an SUV with that kind of MSRP would go a long way to helping to pay down the company's debt. Related Video:
WWII Jeep 'found in crate' set to cross Greenwich auction block
Thu, 30 May 2013Fans of old military vehicles might want to pay extra close attention to the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance coming up this weekend. Crossing the Bonhams auction block on Sunday are a pair of seemingly flawless World War II Jeeps, which are both expected to fetch serious dollars.
Lot Number 305 at the auction is a 1945 Ford GPW Jeep that has been fully restored, which is expected to command between $35,000 and $45,000. Shortly after the Ford GPW, a potentially more interesting 1944 Willys MB (shown above) will be auctioned off, but Hemmings raises some red flags about this Jeep. First, it is claiming to have been "discovered in its original crate about 30 years ago," but there is no proof or documentation of any sort. Also, it is claiming to be all original, but it was given a paint job "shortly after it was discovered." Even with these questionable descriptions, this Willys could reach between $20,000 and $30,000. Head over to Bonhams' site and Hemmings for more information on both WW2-era Jeeps.
NHTSA investigates FCA for SUVs that roll out of Park
Tue, Aug 25 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a preliminary evaluation into the 2014 Dodge Durango and 2014-205 Jeep Grand Cherokee after 14 complaints of the SUVs rolling out of Park. An estimated 408,000 of them could be affected, if a recall is necessary. All of the current complaints submitted to NHTSA about the issue concern the Grand Cherokee, and the claims allege that the SUV can roll out of Park whether or not the engine is running. Some folks report that they check the indicator each time because the gear sometimes fails to engage. Among the 14 cases, there are five accounts of crashes and three injuries, including a situation with someone allegedly being rolled over. NHTSA's preliminary evaluations are meant to investigate "the scope, frequency, and safety-related consequence" of a reported problem. They don't necessarily lead to a recall. The unintended motion has occurred with both the engine off and the engine running. ODI has also identified EWR field report data related to the alleged defect. The model year 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles are equipped with an electronic gear selector (shift-by-wire system). The gear selection is made by pressing the shifter-paddle forward or backwards; the shifter does not move along a gate path as with conventional gear selectors. A Preliminary Evaluation has been opened to asses the scope, frequency, and safety-related consequence of the alleged defect.
