Up for adoption is a widely known Jeep JK that was a feature build for Poison Spyder Customs in Banning California and featured on JKOwners.com

It is a 2010 "Sport" that was optioned with PW and PDL and Keyless entry. The rig currently has 17k miles on it give or take a few hundred.

This is no "Mall Crawler". This rig is as capable as it looks, built with only premium parts from the industries best manufactures. Freshly built and ready to hit the trails and is as much of a head turner on the street as it is when fully flexed out on an obstacle. It was only taken to the trail once for some pictures before it was shipped off to Poison Spyder and sadly has not seen a dirt road since its return a few months ago. The rig was built with weight in mind and aluminum components were used extensively by Poison Spyder to shed hundreds of pounds of what a comparable rig would weigh using steel. This not only helps off road but with MPG's on road as well.

The drive train was built at ROCO 4x4 in Miami. The Jeep is conservatively setup with 35" tires, but being equipped with 35 spline RCV Shafts, Reid Racing Knuckles, a fully trussed and clam shelled Poly Performance Synergy Dana 44 axle housing, and with 5.38 gears up to 40" tires are completely possible to run. ARB lockers both front and rear actuated from the sPod panel in the cab will lock up all four axles or independently. And if by some mishap you get stuck, there is a brand new, never used, WARN 9.5ti on the front bumper with 100 ft of Blue Amsteel synthetic line capped off with a safety thimble to pull you out.

Like to wheel at night? No problem with Rigid Dually floods mounted in the Poison Spyder aluminum front Brawler bumper. Need more light than that??? Well you have it. A 50" Rigid Industries SR light bar mounted on Poison Spyder powder coated mounts than can cast enough light to see into the future.

On the inside, Wet Okole seat covers on the driver's and passenger seats. A JVC detachable face navigation unit and a Max-Bilt locking center console to lock up the detached navigation face. You will also be surrounded by a laser cut Poison Spyder trail cage installed by Poison Spyder Customs themselves.

To put it bluntly,  this rig is no "Wannabe Mall Crawler" that only looks the part, as ebay is full of those. This rig is built, for real. It was built to showcase some of the latest products the industry has to offer and as a daily driver and wheeling rig for my wife and I. But now that my wife and I recently had our first child, our plans have changed in regards to travelling the country this year with this Jeep and thus the reason we are offering it up to new home. If you want a rig that is ready to go, this is it.

The following is a build list of the components used to build this Jeep.

Excavator in China bashes BMW and Jeep out of the way

Tue, Jun 2 2015

This Chinese construction site apparently has a zero tolerance policy towards obstacles getting in the way of work. When blocked by a Jeep and a BMW, the operator of this excavator pushes the two vehicles out of the way like they're toys. The Bimmer gets the brunt of the abuse, with the sedan getting lodged up against a fence. The exact context of this clip isn't entirely known, but The Mirror in Britain speculates the vehicles are illegally parked. But that doesn't explain why the excavator crashes through a gate later in the video. Also, this doesn't appear to be the case of a rogue operator taking out some frustrations, because a man with a walkie-talkie is leading the way and seemingly directing the destruction. Nonetheless, getting permission to knock these cars around was probably the highlight of this driver's day. News Source: The Mirror, AOL On BMW Jeep Crossover Videos Sedan

2014 Jeep Cherokee marketing launches with 'Built Free' commercial

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Now that the 2014 Cherokee is finally on its way to dealerships, Jeep is starting its marketing blitz for its new crossover, beginning with this 60-second TV spot, called Built Free, that premieres today. Set to a Bob Dylan recording, the ad spot discusses something we can all relate to - the feeling of being too busy and too cooped up with everyday tasks to really get out there and explore the world. But as Jeep says in the commercial, "You're still here. And you're still you. The horizons haven't gone anywhere."
Autoblog spoke to Kim Adams-House, head of marketing for the Jeep brand, who explained that this Built Free spot is "an anthemic piece" that "sparks the conversation" for the new Cherokee. As you'll notice, none of the new Jeep's features - its off-road systems, nine-speed automatic transmission, etc. - are mentioned in the ad, but Adams-House says that future marketing "will speak to more" of the CUV's highlights. Following this 60-second spot, 30-second commercials will launch that talk about some of the specific product features.
When asked if the Built Free campaign will include any throwbacks to the original Cherokee, Adams-House told Autoblog that while "we love that vehicle," the new spots are intended to carve out "a unique space for Cherokee in our product portfolio and marketplace." On that same note, don't expect any other Jeep vehicles to get the Built Free treatment. Adams-House said that while this ad "does resonate overall with the brand," it is solely intended to promote the new Cherokee.

Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler

Fri, 07 Mar 2014

Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.
