I'm selling my custom 2008 Jeep Wranger that has been well cared for and pampered. I built this rig with the intention of creating a very capable off-road vehicle without compromising highway drivability, and this Jeep has exceeded expectations. I used it primarily as a daily driver (mostly highway) and only had the opportunity to take it off road a few times. I spent roughly $9 on accessories (not including installation labor) to deck this Wranger out and maximize its performance, and it handles just as well today as it did when I drove it off of the lot. Modifications include:

AEV Front Bumper
Tabor 9k Winch w/ Warn wired remote
Warn Fog Lights
Bushwacker Fender Flares
OME 2.5" Lift Kit
Toyo Open Country MT 35" Tires (about 20k miles on them, rotated every 3k)
AEV 17" Pintler Wheels
Rugged Ridge 2" Rock Rails
Pure Jeep Rear Bumper w/ D Ring Mounts
Pure Jeep Swing-out tire carrier
Third brake light extension
Mopar Jeep fuel door
Kicker soundbar speakers
Tuffy steel security center console
Mopar cargo mats

I've maintained this vehicle with the intention of having it last for a very long time, always using full synthetic oil, and I'm only parting with it because of financial hardship. This Jeep is a ton of fun to roll around in with the doors off and top down when its warm out, tackles the snow unlike anything else out there, handles like a daily driver should and can take you where other vehicles simply can't. The driver-side door has the ubiquitous crease in it from the door check strap giving way (not very noticeable and couldn't get a picture to display it) and I've replaced the driver's door check strap with bungies. I removed the rear floor carpet and replaced it with the Mopar cargo mat. I replaced the gearshift knob with a baseball gearshift knob (incredibly comfortable!) This ride is a joy to drive and own will make the next owner as happy as it's made me!
No reserve price and the starting bid is around where the Kelly Blue Book value is for this Jeep without any of the modifications, so this rig could go for thousands less than its actual value. I'm also listing locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I'll answer any questions and I'm more than happy to meet with an interested buyer to show it off. Happy Bidding!

Dodge revamping lineup with AWD Challenger and lighter Charger

Tue, Sep 6 2016

Dodge's current lineup is aging rapidly. The Charger, for example, is going on 5 years old but its platform dates back to 2006. FCA, according to Automotive News, is working on revitalizing Dodge's lineup with the first of some new models debuting later this year. The report reveals plans for the majority of FCA's brands, but the most interesting bit of information is an all-wheel-drive model for the Dodge Challenger, which is being referred to as the GT AWD. Mopar unveiled the Challenger GT AWD Concept at SEMA last year as a concept, but it looks like the idea stuck. The vehicle is set to make its debut this fall and will lead the way for a wide-body, Hellcat-powered version that will be released in 2017. That model will be called the Challenger ADR. The entire Challenger lineup will be redesigned in 2018, which includes switching over to the lighter Giorgio platform - the same one that underpins the Alfa Romeo Guilia Dodge will also redesign the Charger to accommodate the new Giorgio platform in 2018. A new two-door convertible could debut in 2021, resurrecting the Barracuda moniker. The aging Dodge Durango will get a light refresh in 2017 with the addition of an SRT model, which Automotive News reports will feature a 6.4-liter V8 engine. Other changes are in store for other FCA brands, including the debut of full-size crossover in 2018 for Chrysler, which will be followed by a midsize crossover in 2019. The Jeep Compass and Wrangler will get a redesign for 2017, with the Cherokee getting a light makeover, as well. The Wrangler-based pickup truck, which we recently spotted testing, is set for its debut in 2018, while the Wagoneer will come out a year later. Sunday Drive: Taking a gaze into the automotive crystal ball

Sun, Oct 22 2017

Mankind has long been fascinated by the future. So it makes sense that this past week's top stories were all about cars, trucks, and SUVs that won't be hitting the market until the 2019 model year. And right at the top of the list is the Ram 1500. We've come to know Ram as the truck maker that styles its pickups with cues cribbed from big rigs, but that look has slowly evolved over time into something uniquely its own. The next Ram 1500 continues this trend, with a newly refined look that we can't wait to see in person. Up next is the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Pickup trucks have been, continue to be, and will remain the best-selling vehicles in America. And General Motors is a leader in the field, with two distinct offerings with which to entice buyers, one from the bread-and-butter Chevrolet brand and one wearing the slightly more upscale GMC badge. The Chevy looks to get LED lighting elements for 2019, which ought to keep the truck from looking dated when compared to the Ford F-150 and the previously mentioned Ram 1500. From there we move past pickup trucks and into SUVs and sedans. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee looks to get toned down a bit with its next refresh, and the '19 BMW 3 Series continues its slow evolutionary journey at the top of its aspirational sales pedestal. Finally, spy shots give way to official production reveals for the 2019 Audi A7 and Polestar 1. This pair of European luxury cars won't compete with one another – one is a rakish hatchback and the other a sports coupe – any further than for the eyeballs of our readers, but both proved popular enough to merit inclusion in our weekly roundup. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2019 Ram 1500 spotted without the classic crosshairs 2019 Chevy Silverado spied with new LED accents 2019 Jeep Cherokee reveals a much more normal face 2019 BMW 3 Series spy shots reveal production lights, new interior details 2019 Audi A7 revealed: More torque, refined styling Polestar 1 First Look | The 600 horsepower hybrid Scandinavian Green Audi BMW Chevrolet Jeep RAM Volvo Truck Hatchback SUV Future Vehicles Hybrid Luxury Performance Sedan sunday drive polestar 1

Chrysler uses Super Bowl spots to honor troops, farmers

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

How do you follow up such revered and successful ads as Chrysler's last two Super Bowl commercials? Imported from Detroit and Halftime in America should be given credit for giving the automaker's public perception a complete overhaul after its rescue from the brink with taxpayer money. What next, then?
We just found out during Super Bowl XLVII. This year Chrysler went with two commercials, one for Jeep and the other Ram. The two-minute-long Jeep commercial, called Whole Again, is narrated by Oprah Winfrey and presented as an open letter to the service men and women of America, simply expressing admiration for what they do - poignant message coming from a company whose history is so entwined with that of the military's.
The Ram commercial, called Farmer, honors the agricultural backbone of this country. Its soundtrack is a speech entitled "So God Made a Farmer" given by the famous radio broadcaster Paul Harvey, which plays over a slideshow of original photography commissioned by Ram. The images, of course, focus on farming and the people who do it for a living, and there's a few Ram trucks in there, as well.
