I'm selling my 2014 Rubicon Unlimited only because I have the opportunity to buy the house of my dreams and could use some cash. It is in near mint condition and has 8100 miles but that may go up since I drive the Jeep often. It was built with the best parts and no expense was really spared. The Jeep's sticker was $42,xxx and change and I don't really know how much I've spent because I stopped counting, haha. Some of the options on the Jeep were heated PREMIUM Katzkin leather seats, Navigation, power everything, plus everything else the Rubicon comes with.
Here's a list of stuff that was done to the Jeep since purchased new:
3.5" Rock Krawler X-Factor lift kit
Rock Krawler high steer kit
Fox Racing remote reservoir shocks
Fox Racing ATS steering stabilizer
Braided steel brake lines
5-37" Nitto Trail Grapplers with roughly 4000 miles on them, Still very fresh
5-Hutchinson Rock Monster Bead Lock Wheels-DOT APPROVED
Poison Spyder Customs steel crusher flares front and rear. The flares were seam sealed, then painted and the inner flare were bedlined. The flares are wrapped in clear 3m vinyl on the inner surface so there's no paint on paint rubbing. Front flares have L.E.D. side markers(crazy bright)
Poison Spyder Customs Rock Brawler II rear bumper with shackle tabs. Powder coated a flat black with L.E.D. reverse lights
Poison Spyder Customs Brawler Lite front bumper with shackle tabs. Powder coated flat black
Poison Spyder Customs winch fairlead mount
Poison Spyder Customs aluminum hawse fairlead
Warn winch 9.5 CTIS- synthetic line
J.W. Speaker L.E.D. Head lights
J.W. Speaker L.E.D. Fog lights
Nemisis offroad fog light mounting kit
Teraflex heavy duty hinge
Teraflex spare tire mount. This doesn't rattle with a HEAVY 37" tire hanging from it.
License plate relocation L.E.D. 3RD brake light/tag light
Reverse camera
Lock pick for reverse camera with all the other mods for the nav unit. You can enter destinations and watch dads while vehicle is in motion.
Vector offroad UFO'S in place of the hood bumpers
Tuffy hood lock
Color matched flares and smooth skin hardtop.
Trimmed stock rock rails
Here's a brief summery of the Jeep. The Jeep drives smooth and tracks straight for a lifted Jeep.Everything works as expected and the 3.6L is powerful enough to push the Jeep down the road happily. I was planning and doing the ring and pinion but after driving the Jeep for a couple thousand miles I was happy with the power. I would still consider doing it but it's not a turd like the 3.8L was. There are no dings or scratches and it looks brand new. The interior is as fresh as a new Jeep with very minor wear marks that would be associated with a vehicle with 8000 miles. Feel free to email with questions or requests for pics of something I'm missing.
Feel free to come drive it too!
I do have a loan with a local bank so there will be a small delay while the associated bank work takes place. I will assist with shipping too on the buyers dime. Check my feedback, I don't rip people off so bid with confidence.

China's Great Wall confirms its interest — in Jeep, or all of FCA

Tue, Aug 22 2017

HONG KONG/SHANGHAI — Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor reiterated its interest in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV on Tuesday, but said it had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. China's largest sport utility vehicle manufacturer made a direct overture to Fiat Chrysler on Monday, with an official saying the company was interested in all or part of FCA, owner of the Jeep and Ram truck brands. Automotive News first reported the news, quoting Great Wall Motor President Wang Fengying as saying she planned to contact FCA to discuss acquiring the Jeep brand specifically. Those comments sent FCA shares higher but also raised questions over the ability of China's seventh-largest automaker by sales to buy larger Western rival FCA, or even Jeep, which some analysts value at as much as one-and-a-half times FCA. Great Wall sought to dampen speculation on Tuesday. It confirmed it had studied Fiat Chrysler, but said there was "no concrete progress so far" and "substantial uncertainty" over whether it would eventually bid. "The company has not built any relationship with the directors of FCA nor has the company entered into any discussion or signed any agreements with any officer of FCA so far," the company said in an English-language stock exchange filing. It did not give further detail. Fiat Chrysler stock dipped on the statement on Tuesday. Great Wall said trading in its Shanghai-listed shares would resume on Wednesday after having been suspended. Fiat Chrysler declined to comment on Great Wall's statement. On Monday, it said it had not been approached and was fully committed to implementing its current business plan. FLUSHING OUT RIVALS? Great Wall Motor, which was early to spot China's love of SUVs, had revenue of $14.8 billion last year and sold 1.07 million vehicles - but that compares with FCA's 2016 revenue of 111 billion euros ($130.6 billion). Analysts said Great Wall would need to raise both debt and equity to complete any deal, meaning its chairman Wei Jianjun could lose majority control. One possible scenario, according to analysts at Jefferies, would see Wei keeping a roughly 30 percent stake, while Great Wall would raise $10-$14 billion in debt and $10 billion in equity - hefty for a group currently worth just $16 billion. Ultimately, politics could be the clincher.

Jeep still working to improve Cherokee's 9-speed auto

Tue, Feb 3 2015

Fiat Chrysler is hoping an upcoming software update will stem the tide of consumer complaints surrounding its nine-speed automatic transmission. Owners of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee have reported a number of problems on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's SaferCar.gov website, since the new model and its troubled gearbox arrived way back in October 2013. The software update is "intended to keep the vehicle performing as intended, and to prevent durability issues from occurring in the future," an FCA spokesperson told Automotive News, and will be available to owners of both the 2014 to 2015 Jeep Cherokee and the 2015 Chrysler 200, which also uses the 9AT. While FCA will be notifying consumers of the update, owners can also request the software reflash if they happen into their dealer before then. Despite the widely documented problems with the transmission, the only complaints on NHTSA's website relate to the 2014 Cherokee – neither the 2015 Jeep nor the 200 have received any complaints. That bodes well as FCA prepares to begin deliveries of the 2015 Jeep Renegade and launch the Fiat 500X, both of which pair the 9AT with the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder. "We have had to do an inordinate amount of intervention on that transmission, surely beyond what any of us had forecast," FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne told Automotive News. "There are things that we have done – that we continue to do. Our proactive customer care intervention has actually increased in intensity on these vehicles in 2014, especially in the second half." What's fascinating about the 9AT's problems are that they haven't been the fault of manufacturer ZF, but have related to software that wasn't "mature" and had "teething problems," Marchionne has said previously, AN reports. With the lack of criticism for the 9AT in 2015 models and this pending software update, though, here's hoping that FCA has finally figured out its fuel-sipping gearbox. Related Video:

Crawling Moab in the 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk [w/video]

Thu, Apr 9 2015

The funny thing about the Renegade Trailhawk is that Jeep still feels the need to defend it. For the past 20 years, automakers have sent emissary vehicles outside the citadel walls surrounding their brand niche. In doing so, these companies found buyers eager to join the cult instead of an angry horde. With the kingdom successfully expanded, automakers had to build new walls to contain this broader identity. This is the story of Jeep's modern expansion, growing with new models while the faithful at the brand's center howl at every quest into broader market segments. Thirteen years after it busted out the Liberty and eight years after birthing the Compass and Patriot, you'd think the resistance to new Jeeps would subside. But no. It's 2015, and while nobody makes the slightest tantrum over BMW's new minivan (except for Sniff Petrol), the Renegade still has to fight its way through pitchforks and torches. Which is a long way of saying that this author is guilty of brand prejudice, too. When the company told us that we'd spend the first day of the Easter Jeep Safari driving seven awesome concepts and the second day driving the Renegade Trailhawk on Dome Point Trail, we could only think, "They giveth excitement, and they taketh it away." Our pessimism was later proven to be incorrect. Sharing the sentiment our colleague Brandon Turkus expressed after his Quick Spin, we found the Renegade to be "in a word, impressive." Dome Point will not trouble a kitted-out Wrangler, but in a compact SUV with on-road tires the rocky sections were chunky enough to require close attention to your lines or use a spotter. As instructed, we put the little 4x4 into the Selec-Terrain's Rock mode, and with common sense plus one eye on the man directing us with hand signals the Renegade climbed over everything with some wheelspin but little fuss. At the first rest point, we turned the car off to wait for vehicles behind. Not realizing that this resets the drive mode to Auto, we crawled through the next two rocky jumbles in the default setting. The result was the same: a bit of wheelspin climbing over thick steps, but an altogether drama-free passage. Auto mode can't use the engine throttle maps unique to each Selec-Terrain setting, but it doesn't hamper the Renegade's capability by much. On a steep bit of trail with a crest capped by stacked stone plinths, it took three tries to find the right line, but that's on us – the Renegade did more than expected.
