2012 Jeep Wrangler with V6 Cylinder 280 HP engine. This Jeep has some get up and go! Exterior Color of Natural Green Pearlcoat and Interior of Dark Saddle/Black. I hope you enjoy this Jeep as much as I have, it really is fun and powerful. It is great in any terrain really, but really great to have in the snow or off-road. This Jeep has 74,238 miles on it and is in very good condition and was never in any accidents or needed any body work. I would estimate that 80 percent of the miles are highway so the engine wear and tear has been greatly reduced from stop and go miles. I have had all the services and oil changes done with factory Mopar parts at the Jeep dealership and it most recently on 11/10/14 it passed Virginia State Inspection, just needed to replace windshield wipers. Comes with a brand new in the box never been used SOFT TOP system to swap out with the hard top in the summer. Has the front driver and passenger separate sunroof panels that you can take off one or both. This Jeep also has the Max Tow Package which comes in handy. The auto start on the key remote is one of the best features. The sound system is amazing from Alpine. Gets decent gas mileage 20mpg for a 4WD Jeep like this. The 280 HP Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine is very quick. The filtered air conditioning and heating is amazing and comes on strong fast. The heated seats really are nice in the winter. Was purchased fully loaded for 40,000. The Bluetooth phone system and UConnect Phone system is great to use. Comes with navigation with no fees now or in the future. Also comes with extra pair of lights mounted in corner of hood and windshield that can be moved up and down and left to right. Those lights can also easily be taken off but they are of great use in very bad weather, they light up the entire road. So many features to talk about here but below they all are listed. Please email me with any questions you may have. I stand behind this Jeep 100 percent. Thanks for checking it out and Good LUCK in the BIDDING if you choose to go for it! Included with this auction is the transfer (I will pay for the transfer fee) of the 100,000 Maximum Care Plus Plan from Mopar (from the website): Maximum Care For drivers seeking the ultimate in peace of mind for your vehicle, look no further. Maximum Care goes above and beyond by providing virtually complete mechanical coverage for your vehicle. With coverage on 5000+ components, if it's mechanical, it's covered with Maximum Care. Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.

Certain Chrysler owners eligible for buyback program

Mon, Jul 27 2015

Certain car owners whose Chrysler vehicles contain dangerous defects will soon have a way to get rid of their lemons without losing money. As part of an agreement with federal regulators, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has agreed to buy back more than 500,000 vehicles susceptible to veering out of control without warning at above market-value prices. The deal mainly covers certain models of RAM trucks, the Dodge Dakota pickup and Dodge Durango SUV. Further, owners of more than 1.5 million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokees at heightened risk for lethal fires are eligible to trade in their vehicles at above market value or, alternately, get a gift certificate if they prefer to have repairs made. Chrysler has "a heavy responsibility to make sure the products they make are safe for the traveling public," said Mark Rosekind, administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "... Here, we are sending an unambiguous signal to industry that if you skirt the laws or violate the law, or don't live up to the responsibility that consumers expect, we are going to penalize you." The buy-back and trade-in options for motorists come as part of an unprecedented penalty NHTSA slapped against Chrysler for violating federal motor-vehicle safety laws. Chrysler will pay a $105 million fine, the highest ever levied by the regulatory agency. In addition to the buy-backs, Chrysler also agreed to an independent monitor for three years. Investigators had outlined problems in the company's conduct in 23 recalls that affected more than 11 million defect vehicles. As part of a consent-order agreement, Chrysler acknowledged it did not notify vehicle owners of recalls in an effective manner and did not notify NHTSA of safety problems. Though those recalls affected millions of drivers, the buy-back and trade-in options are only for a small portion of the vehicles involved. Because Chrysler struggled to fix the problem and no repair was apparent, Rosekind said the buy-backs are reserved "for customers who didn't have a remedy." Buy-backs are for trucks and SUVs affected by three recalls that occurred in 2013 (recalls 13V-038, 13V-527 and 13V-529), that addressed a rear-axle pinion nut that could come loose and cause a loss of vehicle control. Those recalls covered 579,228 vehicles, including 2009-2012 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks, 2009-2012 Dodge Dakotas, 2009 Chrysler Aspen and the 2009 Dodge Durango.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
