FOR SALE For sale is a custom built 2009 Jeep Wrangler 4x2 RWD. It was used as a promo vehicle in South Florida and customized/built by Fortec Performance in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (SEE VIDEO BELOW). It was featured on the "Ultimate Summer" TV Show. It is extremely clean inside and out and very well taken care of. Currently the truck has just a bit over 57k miles but that could change as it is still being driven in my daily Miami-Boca Raton commute. It is a 3.8 V6 with Automatic transmission, Cold AC, etc. Black exterior with grey interior and black seat covers. This Jeep is definitely an attention getter, one of the best looking Jeeps in South Florida. The truck does have small rock chips etc. There is a small dent on the bottom of the rear passenger door that happened when the doors were removed for a photo shoot. Nothing that is out of the ordinary. This truck was never taken off road or abused in anyway, all from highway use. The vehicle comes with both Full Hard Doors and a full set of Trail Doors! Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
Blake Anderson drives an over-the-top patriotic Jeep
Thu, Jan 15 2015Comedian Blake Anderson is seeing growing success as one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central show Workaholics. Not surprisingly, when you get your own TV show, there's a deep desire to celebrate with a big purchase, a car perhaps. Anderson did just that, but as opposed to plunking his money down on a Porsche or Mercedes-Benz, he took a much more patriotic route. Anderson described his ride as "an American Jeep" in an interview with Conan O'Brien, and he didn't mean that it was from the AMC years of the off-road brand's ownership. Instead, this one is as patriotic as they come thanks to a beautifully regal bald eagle covering the hood with the nation's flag as the background running up at least to the windshield.
