2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 109000 miles Also referred to as the LJ, this Jeep is Stone White with a black top. It features a dark grey interior, 4.0 inline six cylinder engine, automatic transmission, Dana 30 front axle with an open diff, Dana 44 rear axle w/ limited slip, a custom front winch bumper, stainless steel keyed hood locks, nerf bars, tow hitch w/ 2 " receiver and 4 way plug, LED taillights, xenon headlight capsules in a Delta housing, an new all aluminum Champion 3 row radiator, K&N FIPK cold air intake w/ CARB number, and a Rugged Ridge liner in the cargo area. Runs good, 4wd works, has Bridgestone tires on factory alloy wheels. I have a current Calif. smog certificate within the last 30 days.
When it is cold, the transmission will hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear. I was told this is caused by the PCM and it needs to be reflashed. No accidents, has never been smoked in, and originally came from Nevada before I purchased it. I am not the original owner, I purchased it from Don A Vee Jeep in Placentia,CA. From the card I found with the owner's books, it originally came from Las Vegas,NV. Jeep Comanche Moab Concept: Hell yeah!
Mon, Mar 28 2016The moment I saw the Jeep Renegade I knew it was a winner, at least in terms of styling. The Renegade's "face" is exactly what small 21st-century Jeeps should look like. It has loads of Jeep's visual heritage DNA – important! – that has been brought up-to-date in the best possible way. (Now if only they could graft that face on to the new-ish Cherokee...). Where the Renegade falls short is what's under the skin. Thanks to misguided marketing, it is saddled with a rather unremarkable USA-spec 2.4L four, undersized tires, so-so ground clearance, an iffy 9-speed automatic, and a questionable (available) low range. I don't mind the independent suspension; in fact I embrace it, as IFS/IRS is the future in terms of off-road suspension design. So, for me, the Renegade is a close-but-no-cigar vehicle, at least as it currently stands. This new Comanche, however, shows how the Renegade can evolve; both as a 4-door SUV, and in terms of how spin-off models can be developed. Big beefy tires, flared out fenders, and great ground clearance are the main ingredients that make this work visually. Still wish for a 3.6L V6 under the hood, but the 2.0L diesel isn't a bad alternative. Anyway, I think a Comanche pickup makes more sense than the predicted Wrangler-based pickup. Why? I'm not big on retro-vehicles in general. Rarely do they survive long term. Besides, the Comanche would be far more civilized and livable. I could see this Comanche pickup as a daily driver much more so than a Wrangler-based pickup. Yeah, I like and value creature comforts over ultimate off-road ability. I think most pickup buyers would agree. Finally, while there is a large devoted Wrangler following who would love a Wrangler-based pickup, I bet this Renegade-based Comanche would bring more new customers into the Jeep tent – especially over a much wider age demographic. 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4

I recently spent a week with a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4. Introduced for the 2007 model year, the Wrangler Unlimited is a standard JK two-door with 20.6 inches added to its wheelbase and two additional doors bolted to its passenger compartment. While Jeep offers the Unlimited in seven different trim levels, the desirable Rubicon is the most capable when the pavement ends, as it boasts a slew of hardcore off-road tools including front and rear electronic locking differentials and a front sway bar that can be disengaged at the touch of a button for improved articulation. My I-Look-Like-A-Traffic-Cone test model started with a base price of $34,095 (plus $995 destination). Options including a five-speed automatic transmission, Uconnect, tow package and a premium soft top, drove the bottom line up to $38,630.
