Howdy: Nice little Jeep loads of fun. The Jeep has been Rhino lined inside and out. The Green and the Black are both Rhino Lined rough to the touch. Really sticks out and gets allot of attention everyone wants to rub it and know how you did it. Everything seems to work like it should there is one small problem if you have the headlights on the left headlight blinks when you turn on the right blinker. The blinker blinks also? I am not very good at electrical but i am sure it is a small problem like two wires rubbed threw or a bad ground? Anyway I am still trying to figure it out and my or may not have it fixed by the time auction is over.

It has a couple scrapes and bruises nothing serious I have put close ups in the pictures. The hood on one side has more of a gap than the other side only about a 1/4 inch and there is some minor damage there by the antenna not bad but want to mention it.
I have many extras for it Front grill guard Tow hitch. Brand new never driven on mud tires mounted on brand new never driven on mag wheels. Also still have stock wheels and highway tires about 70% tread left on them. The stock wheels have also been Rhino Lined. I have half doors with cloth uppers and the surrounds plus the keys. And full doors with keys but The full doors don't lock right may need new latch not sure. Had it out for a test drive the other day and did hear one of the U joints pink a little not enough to tell which one but just so you know it did pink a little in a tight turn.
Now the Kelly Blue book is around $13500 with the extras and the custom paint it is worth quit a bit more I am starting the auction for much less with no reserve if you get it for the starting price you will be getting a great deal and years of fun. There are no guarantees with this Jeep other than you will enjoy the heck out of it. Very fun to drive and a head turner on the trails or highway. If you want to stand out and get attention this is the Jeep for you . I can deliver this Jeep anywhere in the lower 48 states for a buck a mile. If you want it delivered to Alaska it 2 bucks a mile. Give me a call anytime to visit about it be glad to answer any questions. 1-406-261-5323 The Jeep is in Kingman Az.

Jeep in St. Louis hacked from Pittsburgh

Tue, Jul 21 2015

One of America's most popular vehicles contains a security flaw that allows hackers to remotely commandeer it from anywhere on the planet. Cyber-security researchers Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller say they've accessed critical vehicle controls on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that allowed them to remotely control critical vehicle functions like braking, transmission function, and steering. Automakers have downplayed the possibility a car could be remotely compromised, but the significance of the findings detailed Tuesday could cause them to reevaluate the threats posed to hundreds of thousands of vehicles already on the road. A key finding – the pair needed no physical access to the Jeep to pull off the attack. Valasek and Miller accessed the controls via a security hole in the Sprint cellular connection to Chrysler's UConnect infotainment system. In the course of their research, Valasek sat in his Pittsburgh home and remotely manipulated Miller's Jeep as he drove along a highway outside St. Louis. If you know a car's IP address, they say, a hacker could control it from anywhere. "We didn't add anything, didn't touch it," Valasek told Autoblog. "A customer could drive one of these things off a lot, and they'd have no clue it had these open attack surfaces." Remotely, he disabled brakes, turned the radio volume up, engaged windshield wipers and tampered with the transmission. Further, they could conduct surveillance on the Jeep, measuring its speed and tracking its whereabouts. They conducted the experiments over multiple breaches. They made their findings public on the same day the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the federal agency in charge of vehicle safety, released its latest report on the readiness of government and automakers to fend off these sorts of cyber attacks. Later today, two US Senators are expected to introduce legislation that would help consumers better understand the potential risks of car hacking. In the early stages of their research, Valasek and Miller found a security flaw in the car's wi-fi that allowed them to remotely manipulate controls from a range of about three feet. But in recent months, they found another vulnerability in the Sprint cellular connection in the UConnect system. That was a key breakthrough. "Lo and behold, we found we could communicate with this thing using cellular, and then more research, and 'Holy cow,' we're using the Sprint network to communicate with these vehicles," Valasek said.

Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.

Chrysler recalls 468,700 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Commanders over rollaway risk

Mon, 13 May 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall covering a combined 469,000 units of the 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2006-2010 Jeep Commander (inset). Of that number, 295,000 are in the US, roughly 33,000 in Canada and Mexico and the remainder in other markets. It seems an electrical fault in the transfer case can allow the affected SUVs to shift into neutral on their own, while an Associated Press report says that Chrysler had "found cracks in a circuit board that turns the four-wheel-drive system on and off." The issue was discovered when an owner started his car remotely and it rolled away.
Chrysler is expected to begin notifying owners in June 2013, who can then take their cars to dealers. The dealer will reflash the final drive controller free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.
