According to the Kelly Blue Book, the 2004 Sahara is worth more than the 2004 Rubicon and 2004 Unlimited with all the same features and mileage. This 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is in near excellent condition from a non-smoker with no kids and no pets. Only 29,500 miles. I am the original owner. It runs like the day I purchased it. It has a 4.0L I6 with a manual transmission. A 3.73 rear axle ratio with a Dana 44 rear. The color of the exterior and interior is khaki. It just passed state inspection on May 1, 2013. The hard top has never been removed. It comes with dual tops. The soft top was never used. It is still new in the box. It is shown in the picture in front of the vehicle. Also, included is an extra set of 5 wheels with 5 new tires with less than 100 miles. One of those wheels w/tire is pictured in front of the vehicle. The extra wheels and tires are the original wheels and tires that came on the vehicle. Also included is a brand new unopened set of front floor mats and a brand new set of front seat covers. The seats were covered with seat covers since I purchased the vehicle new. The picture shows the driver seat still covered and the passenger seat without the cover. As you can see in the picture, the passenger seat is in brand new condition. The driver seat is in brand new condition as well. The rear seat has never been sat on. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BUYERS WHO WANT THIS VEHICLE SHIPPED: There are extras with purchasing this vehicle which auto shippers DO NOT allow inside of the vehicle during transportation. Jeep lays out 5-year plan, including rebirth of Grand Wagoneer and new C-segment offering
Tue, 06 May 2014Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Machionne presented a five-year plan for the company brands this morning, with Jeep first up on a long day of presentation. Jeep's head honcho Michael Manley wasted no time in laying out what the foreseeable future will look like for what he calls the "lead global brand" of the company.
Big goals for the next half-decade will include expanding the lineup from five nameplates built in one country, to six nameplates build in six countries. That expansion of models will include both a three-row competitor, and, of course, a small vehicle to slot below Cherokee. The company is also seeking to add a whopping 1,300 dealers over the next few years, to sell all this new metal, and has an aggressive goal of doubling Jeep sales by the time 2018 rolls around.
As expected, that first salvo from the off-road brand will be the debut of the much ballyhooed Renegade small crossover in the third quarter of this year. Jeep has already designated that Renegade will get refreshed for the 2017 model year, as well.
Autoblog Minute: FCA issues Uconnect software update amid hacking fears
Wed, Jul 29 2015Carjacking has gone wireless, as automakers and Congress scramble for a solution after a disturbing video on Wired showed a pair of researchers controlling a Jeep Cherokee remotely. Autoblog's Adam Morath and David Gluckman report on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Carjacking has gone wireless, as automakers and Congress scramble for a solution. I'm Adam Morath and this is your Autoblog Minute. Cars with wireless connections are susceptible to remote hacking, as demonstrated in a disturbing video on Wired.com. The segment showed two researchers remotely controlling a Jeep Cherokee, including running vehicle's the wipers, turning up the music, and ultimately shutting down [00:00:30] the Jeep while it was being driven on the highway by Wired senior writer Andy Greenberg. Washington took note. A press release issued from the desks of senators Ed Markey and Richard Blumenthal introduces legislation protecting drivers from auto security privacy risks. Fiat Chrysler, parent company of Jeep, has a solution for its customers. For more we go to Autoblog's David Gluckman. [GLUCKMAN INTERVIEW] Chrysler has worked with the Uconnect cellular provider Sprint to plug security holes on the carrier side. The vehicles themselves can't be updated wirelessly, so [00:01:00] the remaining changes require physical access. For that, customers have three options: One, download the Uconnect software update to a USB stick and install. Two, wait for FCA to send a USB stick with the latest software that they can install, or third, visit a dealer. Owners should do what they're most comfortable with. I made a video that walks through the whole process from download to install and it took about a half hour. [MORATH] David's full video tutorial of how to install the Uconnect fix can be seen on Autoblog. [00:01:30] It remains to be seen how the rest of the auto industry will respond to these security risks. For Autoblog, I'm Adam Morath.
