1973 Wagoneer with Quadra-Trac full time four-wheel-drive, the odometer reads 13,XXX miles and I can not be sure how many times it has turned over in 40+ years.  This wagon has a 360 ci V8, factory air conditioning (needs to be charged),and a power rear window that does work with help.  The underside and frame are clean and free from rot.  The photographs show any areas that need attention on both the interior as well as the exterior but here is a list:

  • The rocker panels have holes
  • The right fender has a tear
  • the tailgate has a small hole next to the dealer sticker
  • The carpet is worn through in the front
  • The inset upholstery is getting tread bare on the heavily used areas of the seats
  • The headliner is starting to come loose in the cargo area
  • The windshield is cracked

There is surface rust on the flat surfaces of this vehicle but it is not rotted through, it is more of a "patina" some might say.  There does not appear to be any filler in the body, all of the chrome and stainless bumpers, emblems, and trim are in great, rust-free condition and all there.  This Jeep starts, runs, shifts, and drives great, it is a pleasure to drive and is dependable as an every day vehicle.  This would provide an excellent foundation for a restoration or can be driven in its original state.  I believe that I have listed everything to the best of my knowledge, please ask questions and I will provide additional photographs if requested.

This is an as-is no reserve auction, the buyer is responsible for shipping/transportation.  This is a 40+ year old vehicle that has not been restored, please look carefully and ask questions.  Should there be winning bid, please contact me within 24 hours of the auction's end to make arrangements, I am willing to work with anyone on the details.

Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer

Sat, 09 Nov 2013

Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
