Jeep 4x4 Wagoneer Cherokee 401 V-8 Th 400 Edelbrock Four Barrel Carb Superwinch on 2040-cars
Grantsville, Utah, United States
For sale,,,1975 Jeep Wagoneer. Restored, these are quite pricy. This one is not restored, or expensive.
They don't make them like this anymore. We call it BIG BAD and UGLY! You dont have to worry about getting your new 40k suv scratched or dirty when you have this waiting for you. Goes almost anywhere. Will pull almost anything. Kids, dogs, coolers, you name it. Fold the back seat up and there is room for lots of stuff. And it has a roof rack too. These are like 1/2 ton pickups with a station wagon body. 6 lug G.M wheels bolt right on, and they are plentiful and cheap. I bought this Jeep to cut the back of the top off and make it an Avalanche-type 4x4, but no time, and too many projects force me to let it go. Now it can be yours. Leave it up at the cabin or lake without worry. Goes great off road. Its very reliable. You can let it sit for a month and it will still start right up and go. All the glass is good. The tailgate window is power and goes down quickly, but sometimes needs a little help going up. Maybe needs lubed. There is some rusty spots, but I've seen much worse. Rear wheel well openings are the worst spot. Floors and doors are very solid. Needs a paint job to be pretty again. Maaco quoted 499.00 This has the killer torque monster 401 V-8 in it, and it runs very well, with good oil pressure. Previous owner installed an Edelbrock carb with manual choke that really improved the running, starting, and fuel mileage. Transmission is the tried and true G.M. turbo 400 that operates and shifts good. Four wheel drive with locking hubs works as it should. Very low reserve. We can do a BUY IT NOW for a fair offer. Don't miss out! Call John or Connie at 435 884 1040 with any ?? or email of course. Please, don't get scammed. We can take pictures of any part you might want a closer look at, and supply copies of any documents you may need. Sold as-is, where-is, but we will assist your shipper, or maybe even bring it to your doorstep for an agreed on fee. Bidders with 0 feedback must contact us before bidding. Thanks, and BID TO WIN!! |

How to update and secure a vulnerable Chrysler Uconnect system
Sat, Jul 25 2015If you own one of the 1.4 million vehicles affected by the recent Chrysler software recall, you may want to watch this video. In it, we explain how to get the latest infotainment software loaded onto the 8.4-inch Uconnect system. The recall was a response to the findings of researchers who were able to hack into and remotely control a 2014 Jeep Cherokee through its cellular connection. Although Fiat Chrysler has worked with Sprint to plug most of the holes on the carrier side, there are still some vulnerabilities that only this latest software version can patch. Owners have three options to get the update: download it now, wait for a USB stick in the mail, or take the vehicle to an FCA dealer. Chrysler will be sending USB sticks loaded with the software update to customers. Anyone with an internet connection and a USB stick of their own with at least 4 GB capacity can speed things up by downloading the patch from the Uconnect website. We cover that process from start to finish in the video, with the final portion still applicable to those using the FCA-supplied USB stick. If after watching this you still don't want to tackle the patch yourself, you can take your vehicle to the dealer to have it done. Also note that this process is the same for all Uconnect updates, not just the one patching the exploits. Our demonstrator vehicle is a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup. The procedure should be very similar on other products with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system, with only the location of the USB port varying. Once you have the USB stick with the software on it – either after having downloaded it yourself or receiving it in the mail from Chrysler – the installation process is relatively simple. It takes about 15 minutes to perform the update; we edited out the wait in the video. To check whether or not your car's 8.4-inch Uconnect system is running the latest software, go to System Information on the touch screen's Settings page and look at Software Version. The update related to the recall is version 15.17.5. Related Video: Recalls Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Safety Technology Infotainment Videos Original Video hacking
Updated 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee ace same controversial moose test it failed in 2012 [w/video]
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Some background: one of the more scandalous international incidents of he-said/he-said from 2012 was when Swedish magazine Teknikens Varld put the Jeep Grand Cherokee through its "moose (or elk) test" and reported that the SUV nearly rolled over. That lead to a whole lot of accusations and rebuttals: more than one website and Chrysler's own blog reported that the Jeep was overloaded; Chrysler said Teknikens printed the magazine then let Chrysler respond, Teknikens answered all of the charges in a lengthy post and said Chrysler was given a chance to comment before it went to print; when Chrysler sent investigators to oversee the test and the Jeep didn't go up on two wheels as it did in the first test, furthermore all four wheels stayed on the ground when Auto Motor und Sport tested a Grand Cherokee in the same way.
Teknikens then re-ran the test with a new vehicle and said it's been doing this test since the 1970s, uses the loading information that Chrysler provides to the Swedish motor authority and the previous Grand Cherokee passed with no problem. In the second test, the Jeep failed again, then it gave Chrysler engineers access to the car's electronics and ran the test again. In that second round the Grand Cherokee didn't repeat the lurid two-wheel action, but in eleven runs it blew out front left tire seven times. Chrysler still objects to the results of all of those tests and maintains that vehicle was safe.
The 2014 Grand Cherokee was given its shot at the gauntlet in the latest round of moose tests, and Teknikens Varld reports that it passed without any problem at all, its stability control working perfectly, controlling motion at low speeds and all the way up to 44.1 miles per hour. You can watch the video of the new test and read the press release from the magazine on the updated Grand Cherokee below.
Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.
