You are looking at a very nice 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It came to northern Michigan last spring on a trailer from Atlanta Georgia. It was in good condition but in need of a little TLC. I had the transmission rebuilt (and also the transfer case) as it was not pulling as strong as I thought it should have. I also had an extra leaf put in the rear spring because I thought whoever bought it would probably pull a boat or some such thing. There is a reese hitch mounted for this. The wagoneer was built as Jeep's top of the line 4X4. It has a compass, outside temperature gauge, and power everything. The only issue with this Jeep is a small burn on the center of the hood due to the intensity of the Georgia sun. The dashboard is okay, but there is a paint blemish down the center of the hood. A person wanting this thing perfect would have to repaint the hood. That's about it. It has a 360 V-8 that runs very strong and the new transmission works great. The tires have less than 5000 miles on them. If you are looking for a classic Jeep in great condition then this one is for you. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Millionth Jeep Wrangler JK to roll off line this morning

According to a report on the Chrysler Communications Facebook page and one fairly grainy image of the production line, at around 11:00AM Eastern this morning, the one-millionth Jeep Wrangler JK will roll out of the company's Toledo assembly plant.
The third-generation or "JK" Jeep Wrangler has been around since the 2007 model year, and has obviously been more popular than ever. With a greater than ever number of trim levels, two-door and four-door Unlimited models and hardy off-roading Rubicon packages, the JK offers more to choose from than ever for those looking for something in a traditional Jeep. In fact, with the modern 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powering it, the 2012 model year saw more than 140k Wrangers sold here in the US; the best-ever figure for the model.
With a model refresh due out for the Wrangler in 2015 (along with the likely addition of a diesel engine option), we expect that sales will continue to roll right along, too.

FCA recalls 15k Grand Cherokees, Durangos over brake issues

The Basics: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 14,768 examples of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, both from the 2015 and 2016 model years, and built between December 9, 2015, and January 14, 2016. The Problem: The left front brake caliper on some vehicles may have been made from the wrong type of iron, and could be prone to crack. A cracked brake caliper may not function properly. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The problem was discovered by the automaker during testing. The fix: Dealers will need to check the casting date of the component in question, and if necessary, replace the brake caliper. The schedule for carrying out the recall service has yet to be outlined. If you own one: Expect to hear from the manufacturer to arrange an appointment with your local dealer. In the affected vehicles, the left front brake caliper may crack due to being made from an incorrect material. CONSEQUENCE: A cracked brake caliper may lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash. REMEDY: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front left brake caliper and depending on its casting date, replace it, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S16.
