Ennice, North Carolina, United States
For Sale: a 1988 Jeep grand wagoneer; is in good structural shape but cosmedically it is a lillte lack luster but nothing that can't be painted over. Unfortunately for me my wife will not drive it because it is raised and about fell out of it her 1st time driving it and with us having a 1 year old I was informed it would be "appreciated" if I would just sell it so here I am. Neither one of them are perfect but here is a rundown of what I have: CLEAR TITLE IN HAND, Has Reese hitch and hookups for trailer lights, Dash top in good condition no cracks or splits, 360 v8 engine with automatic transmission, 4x4 with high and low range that works great, Headlights are good, Working stereo head unit, Working power seats. Drive shafts, u joints and differentials are in good shape and both differentials are DANA 44's. The Jeep has a rebuilt engine (I didn't do it the guy I bought it from did it)Has an Edelbrock 1405 600 CFM 4 BBL carburetor, Edelbrock intake, new alternator, MSD coil with high temp plug wires, Is running and driving, Has a transmission intercooler, Has what I was told is a 5 inches lift, Has 31x10.50-15's with 35-40% tread but does have some dry rot but I will throw in the two used spares I have, Has all the light housings and lenses, Has all the window glass, tailgate glass will not go down (someone cut the wires), Has wood grain vinyl removed (some studs pulled out some left none were ground off unfortunately), Has a sun roof that instead of fixing it someone calked it and pulled the switch out but the glass is good, the paint need to be re-done, the headliner and board are gone, Does not have emissions stuff on it even the converter is gone but I took off the smog pump and is still with it, Has all 4 speakers the front are dura brand and back are pioneer and power mirrors work. I can sit here an tell you this is all but something will always be left out but I can tell you I have went through it and fixed or repaired with little work but please feel free to e-mail me with any questions big or small and please realize what you are bidding on. it is by no means finished (unless you want a hunting vehicle or a toy for the weekend) but with some TLC this could become a great project that will end in a vehicle that will last for years. This is being sold with no warranties or guarantees being implied or written. What you see is what you get. There is a $500.00 (five-hundred dollar) non-refundable deposit required that will be credited to final purchase price upon pick-up and must be paid within 24 hours of auction ending via Paypal ONLY. The remaining balance to be paid in cash on the day of pick up. Unless other arrangements have been made items must be picked up with in 14 consecutive days or item will be re-listed and deposit used to cover re-listing fees along with time and aggravation charges. No payment plans, personal checks or credit cards. All cashier or travelers checks must clear into my account for ten (10) business days prior to titles being signed and property being pick up. I also have a 1987 I am parting out. If interested in buying whole or parts or using the 87 jeep to sweeten this deal please let me know. |

Jeep Wrangler Mojo and Cherokee Dakar teased ahead of Moab Easter Safari
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Jeep has an annual tradition of debuting wild, new concepts during its Easter Jeep Safari, and this year looks to be no different. The automaker has already confirmed two of the six vehicles for 2014 - the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) and Wrangler Mojo. This year's event runs in Moab, Utah, from April 12-20.
There are no official details about either of the concepts yet - Jeep will release more info on the new models next week. Judging by the pictures, though, the Cherokee Dakar appears to be lifted with some knobby off-road tires. The Wrangler Mojo looks to have a bulging hood that might hide a more powerful engine underneath.
Past vehicles at the Easter Jeep Safari have included a Hemi V8-powered Wrangler, a classically inspired pickup and modernized Jeep Forward Control. Since this is the brand's chance to express itself every year, hopefully it has some more sensational concepts up its sleeve. Scroll down to read the little information that has been revealed about this year's models so far.
Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.
Jeep Cherokee joins Altitude trim line
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Jeep fans spoke up last year by naming the Altitude trim level, and the automaker rewarded them with an assortment of cool Jeeps sporting a sinister, blacked-out appearance. Joining the ranks of Jeep models offering an Altitude trim level is the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and this might be the best looking of the new Cherokees - including the Trailhawk.
Like the previous versions of this model, the 2014 Cherokee Altitude adds black wheels and exterior trim and molding, and it's only offered in four colors: black, silver, white and granite (shown above). You definitely have to love the look of the black accents since the Altitude raises the Cherokee's price by $2,000 to a starting MSRP of $24,995 (not including destination). Jeep says that the 2014 Cherokee Altitude is a limited-edition model, but there is no mention of any specific production figures.
Joining the new Cherokee Altitude are the updated versions of the Grand Cherokee Altitude and Wrangler Altitude with similar limited color combinations and pricier MSRPs starting at $35,290 and $31,595, respectively. These three new Altitude models will go on sale this spring joining the Compass Altitude and Patriot Altitude, which are on sale now. Scroll down for more info on the updated 2014 Jeep Altitude lineup.
