Vehicle Description
           

This 1987 Jeep Wagoneer was an original owner New Hampshire truck that made its way to the Midwest and into our hands a few years ago. It is a clean original truck that drives and looks like its 56,000 actual miles. Coming from the Northeast some light rust repair was required on the rocker panels and lower quarters behind the wheels. The rust repairs were properly attended to, and the truck was repainted below the wood grain. The remainder of the paint is original and in good condition. The door bottoms are original and required little to no repairs. The chassis was cleaned and painted complete with POR15. This Jeep runs and drives like a low mileage truck should. All accessories are in good working order. The truck is serviced and ready to drive anywhere. This is an honest, low mileage, Grand Wagoneeer at a fair reserve.

Chrysler set to make $266M-investment into 8-speed transmission production

Chrysler will shortly make a significant $266-million investment into its Kokomo, IN transmission factory in a bid to expand production of its eight-speed automatic transmissions. The gearboxes, which are built under license from Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen, have been well received by customers and critics, and according to an SEC filing obtained by Automotive News, the transmissions will eventually find their way to all of Chrysler's rear-drive offerings (Viper and heavy-duty Ram models, aside). According to AN, a Chrysler spokesman says the investment has not been confirmed, but once it is, it'll mark the company's latest in a growing line of investments at the facility. Chrysler has poured $1.5 billion into Kokomo since 2009.

Australian Jeep marketing stunt goes awry [w/video]

Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.
