AMAZING condition 1979 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This Arizona original has been loved its whole life. Owned by only Wagoneer fanatics. Has every receipt since new, hand written mileage book with repairs, Build sheet, Owner manuals and print outs and instructions on nearly everything that was done to the jeep. WOW.  102k original miles!! with the 360 rebuilt at 80k, with a RV cam, Edelbrock 4 BBL intake and carb. Full length headers, Upgraded Ignition with a late model GM coil and Ford style distributor. Aluminum radiator, 3" exhaust high flow cat and Magnaflow muffler and MUCH MORE!! This thing sounds mean. You can REALLY hear the RV cam. Has 70 PSI oil pressure at startup and runs 40+ all day. This jeep has been repainted the original Ensign Blue. (better than the factory ever did!! by a far stretch) New wood grain, Newly upholstered front seats, reusing some of the original fabric. Custom console, Couple year old  carpet, headliner and Window tint. 4" Bj's Offroad 4 spring lift. pro-comp shocks, braided brake lines. 31" Yokohama Geolanders with matching spare. Restored wheels, Brand New Mile Marker part time kit in the original Quadratrac Transfercase with a 16% overdrive. (The overdrive helps lower the RPMs on the highway.) Warn locking hubs, with factory center caps cut to fit. Kenwood CD player with (4) 6" Infinity speakers.  Working and COLD A/C. Has a NEW BJ's offroad winch bumper ($850.00) and a Bulldog 10k winch. There is also a Roof rack that is wired for 3 sets of lights. The original bumper for the front is avail if you would rather have that. A discount can be discussed for removal of winch bumper and installation of original.

This jeep runs and drives great. The RV cam and exhaust sounds amazing (like no other Wagoneer  I've heard), The 16% overdrive makes it nice to go down the highway. However it did drop some of the low end grunt. Still has PLENTY of power. The headliner material is great, however the backer board is warped. Looks good, but not perfect. The carpets and Jeep Logo floormats have been in it for a couple of years and have faded (thanks Arizona). The window tint is overall good, but NOT perfect the rear window being the worst, it too is 5-8 years old. The chrome on the grill is not perfect. The blue paint is almost flawless and shines. Only having 3 tiny chips where front bumper was. The underneath is original and has never been resprayed. Only the diff covers got paint. All the factory markings can be seen. There is a small rust spot on passenger floor 1/2 the size of a penny.

I absolutely LOVE this Jeep. I restore Jeeps for a living and this one has been MY TOY!  I built it the way I wanted it. It turns heads and people are always talking to me at gas stations and car shows. It runs and drives awesome, a TRUE classic wood grained wagg. I hate to see her go. As much as I hate to see her go, I need to put the money towards the business. It is a 34 year old vehicle. AND I do drive it. So that being said there are a few little things here and there like I said above. This is NOT a perfect vehicle nor is it completely restored. There is NO warranty expressed or implied. I have sold jeeps all over the US and over sea's. You can view my website www.thejeepfarm.com (work in progress). At the close of auction I need a 500.00 deposit within 48hrs Via PAYPAL or Bank Check or Money order. I WILL ONLY take Bank Check or Certified Money Order for final payment. I have done this MANY times. As soon as the money clears my account. I will overnight the title requiring a signature (so I know you have received it). The shipping is up to the buyer. I will deliver the Jeep on my trailer, to any carrier in the Phoenix area at no charge. I have used Reliable Carriers many times with great success.

Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.

FCA issuing software update for 1.4M vehicles to prevent hacking

Fri, Jul 24 2015

In the wake of a Jeep Cherokee being hacked remotely while on the road through its Uconnect infotainment system, FCA US is now issuing a software update for 1.4 million vehicles in the United States. Affected customers will receive a USB stick in the mail with the improved version; owners can check this website to see if their cars are affected. A large variety of models with FCA's 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system are affected. They include the 2015 Chrysler 200, 2015 Chrysler 300, 2015 Dodge Charger, and 2015 Dodge Challenger; 2013-2015 Dodge Viper; 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500; 2013-2015 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 chassis cab; 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee; and 2014-2015 Dodge Durango. According to FCA in its announcement, the new software "insulates connected vehicles from remote manipulation." As of July 23, the company also "fully tested and implemented within the cellular network" additional security to prevent access to many of a vehicle's systems. FCA US says that it's conducting this campaign out of an abundance of caution and disputes the notion that there's a defect with these vehicles. Beyond the demonstration of the hack in the Cherokee, the automaker says that it's unaware of any other reports of these attacks actually happening. Related Video: Statement: Software Update July 24, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is conducting a voluntary safety recall to update software in approximately 1,400,000 U.S. vehicles equipped with certain radios. The recall aligns with an ongoing software distribution that insulates connected vehicles from remote manipulation, which, if unauthorized, constitutes criminal action. Further, FCA US has applied network-level security measures to prevent the type of remote manipulation demonstrated in a recent media report. These measures – which required no customer or dealer actions – block remote access to certain vehicle systems and were fully tested and implemented within the cellular network on July 23, 2015. The Company is unaware of any injuries related to software exploitation, nor is it aware of any related complaints, warranty claims or accidents – independent of the media demonstration.

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
