1969 Jeep Wagoneer Kaiser Era. Rare Series 1, Cj, Willys, Original Suv,collector on 2040-cars
Phoenix, Arizona, United States
1969 Jeep (Kaiser) Wagoneer. Very desirable Series 1. Avocado Mist Green. Rebuilt but original Buick 350 (For those of you that don't know, Kaiser used Buick motors in the jeeps they produced). Stock rebuild with 2 BBL carb 230HP and 350FTLBS torque. Has electric fan installed. Turbo 400 trans (rebuilt) and Dana 20 transfer case. Stock axles with 3.73 gears and Power drum brakes. Very original body with a repaint in the past. The clearcoat is faded and has the perfect patina. There is a small amount of rust behind the rear tires. Please look at pics. The floors are solid only having some pitting which was sanded and treated with rust dissolver then painted. The interior is amazing. All original dashboard with am radio (not working). New carpet and custom floor mats. Interior Lights work, heat, fan etc. Rear seat is original, only the front has been upholstered with new foam and springs. However I did reuse some of the original material on the seat back to make it match the rear. I also made custom rear compartment panels with access doors and a light and 12V outlet. The door panels are in amazing shape only requiring a lower kick panel carpet (also custom made). The original headliner is also 98% perfect. The rear window is power. It works great going down, but does require some help getting back up. The suspension has been lifted 4" with New Alcan springs (one of the best in the business) and longer shackles in front. All new Rancho shocks and steering stabilizer. I mounted a set of original (my personal stash) Kelsey Hayes 15x9 Wheels. These are the early production riveted ones. They have been sand blasted and powder coated white. They have a new set of 31x10.50x15 Falken Radials. I did have to run 1.5 billet wheel spacers to clear the brakes. For safety I welded in longer wheel studs on all 4 corners. You can tell at some point the drivers front tire had come loose and dented the fender. I ground out the bondo, used a body hammer and dolly, straitened the spot and never repainted it. I like the way it looks, however you people who live in rust areas will probably want to paint that spot. I also have either the factory front bumper or the Warn winch bumper and a Vintage Warn/Bellview 8k winch (from my stash as well). The buyer can choose either!! There is also a 2" receiver with wired lights for towing. The motor and drivetrain are all stock other than a 2.5" custom exhaust with a Flowmaster muffler. Has a great sound. Not to loud but sounds like a 70's Buick muscle car. This Wagoneer gets thumbs up everywhere I go. I do love the patina. However I am offering this up for sale pre-paint and body. I do have a set of lower rear quarter replacement panels that I will include with the sale if the buyer wants them. The bridge for the nose of the hood will be reinstalled, as will the Jeep Logo cover for the tailgate lock. I apologize for the quality of the pics and some parts not being on the jeep for the photos. This Jeep runs great!! drives smooth and strait. Sounds awsome and the trans shifts firm. The 4WD works great also. She is a Blast to cruise in and take four wheeling!! It has been in the desert many times!! Has the paint and scratched to prove. However it does have DRUM brakes. They are powered but still stops like a drum brake vehicle. BJ's Offroad does offer a disk brake conversion for the front brakes. If you think that this is something you would like, we can figure a price for the parts and labor and I can install before shipping the vehicle. I am offering pre-paint for someone wanting that Patina look @ $9800.00 I do restore Jeeps, I am not a dealer but more of a out of control hobbyist. Please look at my website. www.thejeepfarm.com or call 602.763.3505 DREW Shipping is up to the buyer. I will deliver the Jeep to any shipping company in the Phoenix area at no charge. I do require a 500.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hrs of close of deal. I will accept paypal for the deposit only. Remainder of the payment must be in cashiers check, money order or we can set up a wire transfer into a temp account. The Jeep does not leave my possession until funds have cleared the account. I have sold and shipped Jeeps all over the US with great success. I have described this rare Wagoneer as best I can. It is a old Jeep so expect it to be so. BUT MAN WHAT A WONDERFULL JEEP!!! Please do not hesitate to call with any questions. I can also send pics of any areas you wish to see. Thanks again. Please look at my website and Call if you have any questions. |

Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X finally on the way to dealers
Mon, Jun 1 2015After a brief pause, the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X are on their way to dealers again. While initially reported as a software bug, the issue had nothing to do with the models themselves. According to a statement from FCA US to Autoblog, the "vehicles were built with an atypical Vehicle Identification Number that may not be recognized as valid by some computer systems." That problem has now been fixed. FCA US held the compact crossovers back from dealers until the company could rectify the bug. If the CUVs had been delivered, there would have been difficulty registering the vehicles, according to Automotive News. Before discovering the situation, about 20 of these Renegades were sold to customers. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne originally discussed the predicament in late May. "I'm having a very bad engineering day," he said. "It's a combination of attributes of that vehicle that is making my life horrible." While the boss predicted the problem would be fixed as late as mid-June, the company apparently got things working much quicker than that. Related Video: FCA US Statement A limited number of 2015 Jeep Renegade and 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles were built with an atypical Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that may not be recognized as valid by some computer systems. This VIN issue has been resolved. FCA US has been working with governmental agencies, insurers and financial institutions with whom customers may interact to ensure successful registration, financing and insurance coverage. Renegade and 500X vehicles are being shipped and are in stock at dealerships for purchase. The VIN issue is entirely separate from the operation of the vehicle.
Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. Sergio rethinks FCA-GM merger idea, dismisses critics
Sat, Dec 5 2015After many public overtures, Fiat Chrysler Automotive CEO Sergio Marchionne has claimed his company won't be making a hostile takeover bid for General Motors. This is despite widespread speculation that FCA's desire to merge was motivated by its allegedly dire situation. As one unnamed GM exec who spoke to Automotive News earlier this year put it, "Why should [GM] bail out FCA?" "We are not choking. We are in relatively decent shape," Marchionne told journalists attending an FCA shareholder meeting in Amsterdam, AN reports. "We have been publicly rebuffed, we have been rejected and you cannot force these things. I don't want to. At the moment, we have no intention to do anything hostile." Instead of focusing on merging with GM, or any other partners for that matter, FCA will refocus on implementing its ambitious five-year investment plan, which would see it dump $52 billion into its various brands, with a particular focus on Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Jeep. So far the attempt has largely been unsuccessful, especially as it relates to the Italian brands. Earlier this week, additional reports emerged that claimed Alfa was pushing back the Giulia and an unnamed CUV while reassigning resources to updated versions of the Giulietta and MiTo hatchbacks. This is not the first time we've heard about trouble for the Giulia, of course. For Masearti, though, it was the first we'd heard of delays for Alfieri sports car, which allegedly won't appear in 2016, as promised. We can expect a proper breakdown of FCA's adjusted plans when Marchionne and Company reveal an updated product slate next month.
