Here is a great example of an unmolested 91 Jeep Renegade. I bought this Jeep almost two years ago For $5900. This is from the era when Jeep was really making trucks!! 4.0 h.o. motor. Clean full red interior. Classic Renegade full body kit that sets this jeep apart from all others. New shocks all the way around. Head gasket done about 3yrs ago. Bestop Super top Only two yrs old!! Transmission mounts replaced 6 months ago. New rear drive shaft. H2 headlight upgrade. Any questions about the jeep, just contact me: Brad @ 51647601three three. I've posted new pics, taken today as per potential buyers requests. I must reiterate, I must sell the Jeep. I don't want to, I have to. This Jeep has never let me down anytime I've turned the key and it won't let U down either. It has no leaks AT ALL!! No smoky tailpipe either. Because its a Renegade of this age and condition, it always turns heads. I was always beening made offers but I paid little mind as I was searching for a few years for this Jeep and finally found this one in Delaware. I had now idea then that I'd be layed-off now. It's new owner, like me will be getting a real Gem. A couple other things have been replaced that I remember when opening the hood: the starter, clutch master cylinder and both front calipers are all new changed in the last year. One caliper froze so I changed both. Plenty of brake shoe left as well. This was my daily driver!! Good Luck!! THANKS!! |

Some Jeep Cherokees and Chrysler 200s to get standard stop-start in 2015
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Automakers the world over are striving to find ways to make their models more efficient, and Chrysler has a solution for some versions of the 2015 Chrysler 200 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee (2014 model shown). The Tigershark 2.4-liter four-cylinder in the 200 and the 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 in the Cherokee are getting a slight boost later this year thanks to the addition of Chrysler's Engine Stop-Start system as standard equipment. The company predicts modest gains - a three-percent improvement in fuel economy and a three percent reduction in CO2 emissions with the new tech compared to without it. While it's not much, those who sit in traffic a lot may see a difference.
Chrysler's stop/start system uses a high-speed starter motor to restart the vehicle in a claimed a third of a second. It works by detecting when the vehicle comes to a stop and turning off the engine. A more powerful battery maintains all of the model's accessories while it sits. When the driver lets off the brake, the car starts up again to drive away. There is even a button in the cabin to turn the ESS off, if desired.
The Jeep will be the first to receive ESS in the third quarter of this year to coincide with the start of production of the 2015 model-year version. The 200 will follow in the fourth quarter as a rolling change in production.
Fiat-based baby Jeep spotted testing in US and Europe
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Details remain scarce, but our spy photographers have managed to capture the upcoming Jeep B-segment crossover for the first time, testing in both the Alps and in the US. Shown here as a cobbled-together Fiat 500L mule, the new Jeep model is expected to arrive for the 2015 model year and act as a replacement for the current Compass and Patriot models.
According to our shooter, the new "baby Jeep" will share a platform with the Fiat 500X, and both models will be built on the same assembly line in Turin, Italy. We can't tell much from these images, but the added length apparent on this 500L mule would seem to dispel the recent speculation that the new entry-level Jeep model would be sized closer to the Ford Fiesta - since the 500L is already considerably larger than the Fiesta. Powertrain options will likely mirror other Fiat/Chrysler collaborative vehicles like the Dodge Dart, but this Jeep will also try to live up to its off-road roots with an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.
