Jeep does Renegade Chinese-style with Zi You Xia design concept

As we mentioned, Jeep is bringing a quartet of concepts to the Beijing Motor Show this year. Its largest model, the Grand Cherokee, is nowhere to be found, but its smallest is. That, of course, would be the new Renegade, which has been done up as the Zi You Xia design concept.
Taking its name from the Mandarin word (or words) for "rebel," the Zi You Xia takes its inspiration from the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, with a Warm Chocolate Gray paintjob with contrasting dark bronze trim. The roof, grille and mirror caps are color-keyed to match the rest of the exterior, riding on 20-inch alloys in the same dark bronze finish.
Inside it's all Piano Black, Anodized Copper and brown leather with plaid fabric inserts. Scope it out in the high-res image gallery above and the press release below.

New England Patriots player helps driver of rollover crash

Winning the AFC Championship game to guarantee a spot in the Super Bowl would be a pretty major accomplishment for most people in a day. However, just hours after the victory, New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork showed what he could do off the field, when he helped save a woman from an overturned car. Though, the player remained modest about what happened. Wilfork and his wife were driving home late at night when they spotted a flipped Jeep near Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Surveillance video showed Wilfork pulling over and running to the vehicle's aid to be among the first on the scene. Finding a woman trapped inside, Wilfork told her, "Don't panic," and according to Massachusetts State Police, the 325-pound player simply reached his arm into the vehicle and lifted the woman out to save her. This American Life spends a week selling Jeeps in Long Island

So you think you know car dealers? Well, maybe you do, but This American Life spent a month at Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Doge Ram in Long Island to give us a behind-the-scenes look (or listen, since it's a radio program) at what it's like to be a car dealer.
Yes, there's a lot of swearing in thick New York accents, frustration, confusion, and generally it's a madhouse at the dealership. But that's understandable when the sales staff has to sell 129 vehicles in October in order to get an $85,000 manufacturer bonus - with several other Jeep dealerships within a 10-mile radius.
