Best value in a one owner clean 4 wheel drive jeep liberty you will find!  I'm the original owner and have a clear title in my possession.   I bought this 4x4,new, to be able to pull a boat in and out of a boat launch at the lake,  the boat got sold and I have never driven this Jeep off road or in the mud!  I've used the 4 wheel drive a few times to keep from getting stuck on ice,  and since this is a Texas truck the 4x4 is low usage.  The underside has never been cleaned and you are welcome to inspect it,  I'll bet the factory transfer case steel guards are not even dented!

73000 original miles!!!   All records of maintenance on computer file at the dealer (Moritz) where I bought it, just down the street.   Other than the few oil changes I made myself, the dealer did all the maintenance work on this vehicle.  It has no mechanical issues and the engine light is not on, it should drive another 100,000 miles easy!  I've been the only driver and have never had this Jeep over-heated or over worked.

This Jeep has been garage kept most of its life.  There are no.... door dings or scratches and the paint is flawless, as far as I can tell.   I have tried very hard to park away from possible trouble.

I've changed the battery and it has a second set of tires.  The tires are at least 80 to 85%.  The spare, of course, is almost new.  I had the factory tow package and leather seats added when it was new. As you can see by the pictures,  the drivers seat has some wear on the seat pad, but this is minor.  All other seats and interior show hardly any wear at all.  It has the original floor mats.  only the drivers floor carpet has any dirt that needs to be cleaned.  I never had it cleaned professionally and this one area could use cleaning.  However there are no rips or bald spots anywhere!

  The Flaws are:
The front windshield has a crack all across the bottom that I haven't bothered with since it is to low to be in the drivers view,  I know I should have replaced it when i had full insurance but now I have only the required and current liability.  Both rear windows have little plastic connectors that connect the power window motors to the windows.. both are broken.  I have tied both windows in the up position.  You can hear both electric motors run but the windows don't go up or down.  This is such a common problem for these Jeeps that there are several U-tube videos showing how to replace the plastic part.  I never replaced them since I didn't want to just replace the same plastic that would only be good for another 5 years!  However I know that a better aftermarket part is available now.  The front windows are fine and don't seem to have this same problem.   Also, as you can see in the pictures,  I backed into my own trash can and broke one of the rear light covers.   The light works but the plastic lens is broken.  This has not effected my being able to drive.   The Jeep is not currently inspected or licensed but neither of these items should be a problem to get or fix.

I have never used "armor-all" on the dash or interior or exterior of my Jeep.  I know it makes things shine but I don't like what it does to plastic or rubber surfaces.  The jeep doesn't need it and therefore has an honest clean glow about it in the pictures.  Also there is an honest 73000 miles of road dust on the engine.  I've never felt a need to clean the engine bay and will leave that up to you if you so desire.   It has been paid-off from the chrysler financial original loan from 2004 and has no current liens, as notated on the title, it shows 1st lien released 6/23/11.

This Jeep is ready to go cross country if you need to just drive it back to your state, where-ever that is.  I can pick you up at the airport.  If you are local to Fort Worth you are welcome to come by and inspect or test drive it.  All you have to do is contact me and let me know when you want to come by.   You won't be able to find a better liberty unless you buy a new one.  and we all know what those cost!   Please contact me if you have any questions.  Serious bidder only.

This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome

Fri, Dec 5 2014

The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. Germany threatens to ban FCA vehicles over diesel emissions dispute

Tue, May 24 2016

Germany is threatening to ban sales of FCA products over diesel emissions. According to the newspaper Bild Am Sonntag, Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority found evidence of a so-called defeat device that shuts down certain emissions controls after running for 22 minutes. A standard diesel emissions test in the European Union reportedly takes 20 minutes to complete. FCA denies the allegations. "We believe all our vehicles respect EU emissions standards and we believe Italian regulators are the competent authority to evaluate this," the company said in a statement. The latter part of that statement drew ire from German authorities, especially after FCA declined to meet with German transport minister Alexander Dobrindt to discuss the issue. Graziano Delrio, the Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, vowed to work with German authorities on behalf of FCA. According to EU law, FCA is required to homologate its vehicles in Italy because that's where its regional operations are based. When will the diesel-scented soap opera end? We wish we knew, but our Magic 8 Ball is covered in soot.
