2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit
Incredibly clean vehicle inside and out. Dark brown leather interior in perfect condition including dashboard.
Suede headliner matches very well. Front windows tinted to match factory tint on rest of glass which keeps
interior protected from sun as well as you. Rich accents and large touch screen which includes navigation system
making driving a pleasure. Hands free phone with bluetooth ability and steering wheel controls for phone, audio,
cruise, etc.
This is fully loaded with every single available option minus the 4x4 which really isn't needed unless planing on
off road or heavy duty towing in which case most likely wouldn't be looking at a grand cherokee. Audio system is
very crisp with numerous speakers everywhere including the sub woof in rear. Cooled vented seats works perfect and
is a favorite feature of mine which comes in handy in FL. Adaptive cruise control is a nice feature as well as the
back up rearview camera and anti-collision warnings on dash screen and see mirror symbols.
The exterior is a dark red / burgondyish color in metallic paint that sparkles very well under its clear coat in
sunlight and street lights. Lots of chrome accents including the summit only front end. 22" 22 inch chrome rim
wheels with almost new tires and a full sized never used spare tire. Chrome wheel lock lug nuts (molar brand
installed at dealership during oil change) and original ones are included too. Jeep chrome valve stems and Summit
specific full windshield protection visor included too (always used when parked for more than an hour.) This
vehicle is washed and detailed weekly with routine waxing to keep its paint job looking the way it does. I am the
second owner; bought 1 year used from a Lexus dealership that had acquired it as a trade in.
The V8 Hemi engine is very responsive, fast when needed, and powerful yet still quit good on gas mileage combined
with Jeep's innovative 8 speed automatic transmission which does also have sport mode and wheel mounted paddle
shifters if so wanted to ever use.
This Jeep has only been pavement driven as can be seen by it's condition, never used to tow although does have the
full factory installed tow package hidden behind its rear bumper removable facia plate, never smoked in, and never
in any major accident. All maintenance performed at dealership as can be seen from reports / Jeep etc.
Please ask if you have any questions. It would be great if you are a local buyer to come see in person for
yourself just how clean this Jeep really is.

YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
Jeep in St. Louis hacked from Pittsburgh
Tue, Jul 21 2015One of America's most popular vehicles contains a security flaw that allows hackers to remotely commandeer it from anywhere on the planet. Cyber-security researchers Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller say they've accessed critical vehicle controls on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that allowed them to remotely control critical vehicle functions like braking, transmission function, and steering. Automakers have downplayed the possibility a car could be remotely compromised, but the significance of the findings detailed Tuesday could cause them to reevaluate the threats posed to hundreds of thousands of vehicles already on the road. A key finding – the pair needed no physical access to the Jeep to pull off the attack. Valasek and Miller accessed the controls via a security hole in the Sprint cellular connection to Chrysler's UConnect infotainment system. In the course of their research, Valasek sat in his Pittsburgh home and remotely manipulated Miller's Jeep as he drove along a highway outside St. Louis. If you know a car's IP address, they say, a hacker could control it from anywhere. "We didn't add anything, didn't touch it," Valasek told Autoblog. "A customer could drive one of these things off a lot, and they'd have no clue it had these open attack surfaces." Remotely, he disabled brakes, turned the radio volume up, engaged windshield wipers and tampered with the transmission. Further, they could conduct surveillance on the Jeep, measuring its speed and tracking its whereabouts. They conducted the experiments over multiple breaches. They made their findings public on the same day the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the federal agency in charge of vehicle safety, released its latest report on the readiness of government and automakers to fend off these sorts of cyber attacks. Later today, two US Senators are expected to introduce legislation that would help consumers better understand the potential risks of car hacking. In the early stages of their research, Valasek and Miller found a security flaw in the car's wi-fi that allowed them to remotely manipulate controls from a range of about three feet. But in recent months, they found another vulnerability in the Sprint cellular connection in the UConnect system. That was a key breakthrough. "Lo and behold, we found we could communicate with this thing using cellular, and then more research, and 'Holy cow,' we're using the Sprint network to communicate with these vehicles," Valasek said.
