This Jeep is very clean! small interior flaws such as small a crack on the driver side door arm rest and on the exterior very light scuffs on the exterior on the passenger side. Other than that the body is straight and has never been wrecked and the oil is changed every 6,000 miles with out deviation. gets approximately 13mpg in town and 18-22mpg on the high way. I have also upgraded the front tweeters and rear door speakers with infinity speakers and also installed extra tweeters in the back and an iPod/iPhone Aux cable which charges iPhone/iPods. Has a full size spare with full size wheel also. Front windows are tinted to match rear windows and i have not been pulled over since i have had them but can remove if you would like. This is a very capable jeep and will hang with any Land Rover Ranger Rover, Jeep Wrangler, Off road truck in the dunes, mud, and any dirt trail you throw at it. Watch this 650-hp Hennessey Jeep Grand Cherokee go from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds
Tue, 14 May 2013Hennessey Performance Engineering has created an HPE650 package for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT fitted with the 6.4-liter Hemi engine. When it leaves the showroom floor it has 470 horsepower and gets from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds. When it leaves Hennessey's garage floor after the upgrade it has 650 horsepower - 530 hp at the wheels, according to Hennessey - and gets to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to running the quarter-mile in 12.6 seconds.
There's more than just a Roots-type supercharger bolt-on, with ported cylinder heads and high-flow headers among the many changes made to the engine. You can watch this pre-2014 facelift silver model prove its spec sheet on the drag strip in the video below.
Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer
Sat, 09 Nov 2013Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
Chrysler recalls 2013 Ram pickups, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Wed, 17 Jul 2013Chrysler's spate of successful products is about to be marred by a trio of recalls. The Pentastar is recalling 51,477 Ram trucks and Jeep SUVs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been no reported accidents, injuries or deaths related to the affected vehicles.
The largest action covers the Ram 1500, which is seeing 45,961 trucks being recalled. Models built between June 26, 2012 and February 5, 2013 are being recalled due to a potential software issue in the electronic stability control. Apparently, the system can be randomly deactivated upon vehicle startup.
Chrysler is also recalling 4,458 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Covering everything but the SRT models, the potentially defective SUVs were built between January 14 and March 20, 2013. This recall focuses on "premium headlights," which means cars equipped with LED running lights. During the switch from the bright daytime running lamp setting to the low-intensity parking light setting, an electrical spike can cause one of the Jeep's computers to go into a safe mode, turning off the LEDs. This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
