1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lifted 2" W/ 33 Goodyear Kevlar Tires on 2040-cars
Akron, Ohio, United States
I am selling a 1995 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition w/ a 2' Body lift. It is sitting on 33" Goodyear Kevlar Tires that have about 90% tread on them. The tires alone cost $1,000.00. Within the
last 2 years I have had the water pump replaced, starter, alternator, all 4 brake pads and rotors, upper and lower ball joints. New battery this Summer. Also just had a brand new radiator installed and the transmission fluid changed the pan was removed. There is rust below the door and extend to the front fender it is like this on both sides. This is the only place on the car that there is any major rust. This is a Select Trac vehicle an a Inline 6 motor....There are no mechanical problems with this car. Like I said I have health problems and I don't drive it and it is time to find her a home and someone that will drive it. The drivers side lock does not work I use the OEM key fob to unlock the Jeep. I have purchased another aftermarket key fob so you will have 2 remotes to lock and unlock the car.. I have never taken this car off road and into the mud... I also have a set of new OEM fog lights. Any questions please feel free to ask. I am not looking to trade so don't ask. Car is being sold as is no warranty is being offered. Car is being listed elsewhere - So I have the right to end this auction early if it sells locally. |

eBay Find of the Day: 1977 Jeep J20 time capsule
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Is it just us or has eBay really become, of late, a surprising time capsule of older, barely used automobiles? We've had the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with 83 miles, the 2004 Ferrari Enzo with 175 miles, the 1987 Shelby Lancer with 22 miles, the 1989 Shelby Dakota with 23 miles - none of those four cars ever even registered - and the 1975 Cosworth Vega with 191 miles. You can add to that list a 1977 Jeep J20 - the kind of Jeep that enthusiasts point to when they beg the brand to make another pickup truck.
Listed on eBay by Masterpiece Classic Cars in Whiteland, Indiana, the Brandywine and Alpine White truck has used its 360-cubic-inch V8 paired with a three-speed automatic to go just 3,940 documented miles. Not surprisingly, it's listed in excellent condition and the images appear to bear that out. The three-quarter-ton pickup comes with its original manual and pamphlets, the Quadra-Track four-wheel drive probably just as ready to tackle the terrain as it was 36 years ago. If only it came with some John Denver to play in that AM/FM/8-Track stereo...
At the time of writing it hasn't garnered a single offer or bid, probably due to the above-top-dollar Buy It Now price of $34,900. Still, since this is likely the closest you'll get to a Jeep pickup for some time, we'd recommend admiring it in the gallery of photos above.
Chrysler 3.0L EcoDiesel V6: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Offering a diesel engine in an American pickup is anything but new - Ford, General Motors and Chrysler all offer excellent and almost impossibly powerful oil-burning engines in their various fullsize trucks. What is new and novel about the 3.0L EcoDiesel, though, is its size, and the variety of vehicles that use it. It's the smallest engine, as far as displacement is concerned, currently offered in a large truck in the US, and, for 2014 and 2015, it is available in the Ram 1500 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Though it may be small, it's got muscle. While 240 horsepower isn't particularly impressive these days, the engine's 420 pound-feet of torque more than makes up for that. The torque rating is even greater force than even the big 5.7-liter Hemi can muster. Chrysler's well-regarded eight-speed automatic transmission makes the most of all that bull-headed pulling power in both the Ram and Grand Cherokee. Chrysler claims the Ram EcoDiesel 1500 can tow as much as 9,200 pounds when properly equipped, which makes it "90-percent of the Hemi with a night and day difference in fuel economy."
Make no mistake; it's that promise of a sizable fuel economy improvement that many long-haul truckers will be most interested in. In the Ram 1500 that we tested for our Tech of the Year competition, the diesel engine costs $2,850 more than the gas-fed V8, and Ram estimates that EcoDiesel buyers will pay off their investment when compared to the Hemi engine in less than three years, which is considerably less time than the 4.5 or so years the average buyer will keep his or her fullsize pickup. The more you drive, the more you'll save, and the math proves equally as effective in the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
