2006 Jeep Comander Limited 2wd 41,580 Miles 4.7 V/8 $14,500 on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
Up for sale is a beautiful 2006 Jeep Commander Limited 2WD with extremely low mileage for the year. The Commander has 41,580 miles and was owned by a female here in Central Texas. It was never smoked in and well taken care of by the family and is a one owner vehicle. The family is my
personal CPA and has bought several new Toyotas from me over the years. I now have ProCar Consulting Inc. in Austin, Texas and I traded for her 2006 Jeep and got her a new RAV4 2013. This Jeep Commander has full leather seating and can seat 7 passengers. The fuel economy is good
with the 4.7V/8 and the 2WD. It has a smooth Automatic 5 speed transmission and 4 wheel disc brakes. On board is factory Navigation system and day/night mirror with Blue Tooth Connect. Cruise Control and Dual Zone A/C works perfectly. The light gray interior is flawless and well taken care
of. No rips or tears and the carpet and headliner are spotless. The tires are Goodyear 20" and have 70% tread remaining. The wear pattern is even and rides with no vibration. Brakes are 65% and stop with no chatter and even braking. All electric windows and doors locks are operational including
the Electric Sunroof. This 2006 Jeep has never been wrecked or painted on and has a Perfect Car FAX record. I am offering the Jeep for sale locally in Austin, so let me know if your interested in knowing more about the Commander before the sale ends. I have priced the Jeep aggressively low
because I do not have dealership overhead and salesman commissions to pay. Clean NADA retail is $16,100 on 10/23/2013. KBB retail is $16,578 for good condition and $17,428 for Excellent Condition on 11/07/2013. I am selling the 2006 Commander for only $14,500. You can fly in and I will
pick you up at the Airport in Austin and you can drive her back home and still have the cheapest Limited and the lowest mileage Commander on Ebay or Auto Trader. Call me Jim Stienke 512-415-9582. Look at my web site porcarconsulting.org for my company and read about the testimonials
from my customers in Austin. I spent 30 years as a General Manager here with Lincoln and Toyota.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: Fall colors tour [w/video]
Thu, Dec 11 2014The Trailhawk's rugged good looks were right at home against the backdrop of changing seasons. Regardless of where you choose to call home, you've probably seen, or at least heard, about the Pure Michigan ads, showing off all the splendor that the Mitten State has to offer. You can make fun of them all you want (several spoofs already exist), but as a native, I fully stand behind the idea that Michigan is a truly gorgeous place. The western coast along Lake Michigan and the northern half of the Lower Peninsula are seriously pretty, and vastly different from the southeastern area that houses big cities like Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, and so on. Beyond that, the Upper Peninsula is the closest you'll get to seeing vast spoils of untouched wilderness, and trust me – it's truly pretty. I've seen the world, but I still feel all warm and fuzzy every time I venture north to experience all the vistas that my own state has to offer. In the autumn months, the changing leaves in Michigan put on quite a display. Sure, this happens all over the world, but we truly embrace autumn in the Wolverine State, and practically every Detroit-based Autoblog staffer has gone on at least one fall colors tour to the northern Lower Peninsula to take it all in. That's exactly what associate multimedia producer Chris McGraw and I did just over a month ago, behind the wheel of our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The Trailhawk's rugged good looks were right at home against the backdrop of changing seasons, and we opted to capture the whole experience on video for this latest long-term update. The Tunnel of Trees is a picturesque stretch of Michigan's M-119 highway that starts just northeast of Petoskey. As you can see in the video above, the Tunnel of Trees is a picturesque stretch of Michigan's M-119 highway that starts just northeast of Petoskey and follows Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay. This winding road through the woods goes on for nearly 30 miles, largely unobstructed by neighborhoods, fueling stations, shops, or roadside fodder, and spits you out at the famous Legs Inn in Harbor Springs. (Top-notch Polish food, if you're hungry.) From there, you can either continue north toward Mackinac City and the Mackinac Bridge that connects Michigan's lower and upper peninsulas, or you can turn around and take in all the goodness again.
These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss. Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new
Sun, 09 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
