Classic 1987 Jeep Comanche Mj 4 X 4 Ac 5 Speed Manual Mint! Clean Pickup 4.0 on 2040-cars
Lake Grove, New York, United States
VERY WELL MAINTAINED!!! 1987 Jeep Comanche MJ Sport Truck in EXCELLENT Condition:
Bought in 3 years ago from a Retiree in Florida. Truck was Red with Sun Spots from the Sun but really clean. I turned her into a nice project, sanded her down and did a few layers of primer and a rattle can Matt Black Paint Job until I was going to have a Pro Paint Job done. There is no rust on this vehicle!!! Only on the floor board by the Drivers and passenger side which is common and is NOT on the frame or the body of the Truck. So after painting her I had a 3" custom lift kit put on. Hella Lights Had my mechanic do EVERYTHING needed (I have all the receipts)put over $3,000 into her. From new head lights, tires to freshen up her look to Wiper motor, heater blower motor, Valve Cover Gasket (should be replaced every 100k on all cars) Replaced Antenna, break cable, hood cable, interior light domes, Replaced original Radiator as a precaution - replaced Sensors, Battery and much more I can go over the work verbally 323 496 3300. I've driven the Truck 4,000 miles in 3 years. We have a wood stove and I use her to pick up fire wood on the weekends now and again. I need a Full Sized Pickup being I'm moving South and need to be able to tow a full sized RV. Regretfully I have to sell her. There is NOTHING wrong with this vehicle. Starts right up all the time - Engine and Tranny are in GREAT!! Condition. North Shore Imports on Long Island in E.Setauket have done all the work on this truck. They said they would have no problem driving this vehicle from NY to CA. This engine is a tank. I've put A LOT of love into this Jeep and now it's time for someone to take over. There are no hidden secrets here. I'm still using her on weekends for wood and will continue to until she is sold. This is a pretty Rare Vehicle and it is a "Classic". I will hold vehicle for up to 2 weeks for out of State Buyers for no added fee. $300 Pay Pal is required after action is over. PS. I had a Factory Class #3 Trailer Hitch put on last Spring - I never even got to tow anything. The Hitch is a High End Frame Hitch Rated for 5,000 lbs. Although I believe the Comanche can tow that much the vehicle is rated for 3,500 lbs and can hold 1,200 in the Bed - which rivals large trucks. This truck was a bit ahead of it's time. Please feel free to call and Happy Holydays. There is a reserve and offer will go to highest bidder. Thanks. Autoblog Minute: FCA hit with record fine, issues recall and buyback
Tue, Aug 4 2015FCA, found in violation of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, agrees to buyback recalled models as part of record penalties issued by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The cars in question are more than half a million Chrysler vehicles with defective suspension parts that could cause cars to lose control, and more than a million Jeeps that are prone to deadly fires. Autoblog's Eddie Sabatini reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute, with expert commentary from Pete Bigelow. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] FCA faces record penalties as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration finds the automaker in violation of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Jeep teases Trailcat and other Easter Safari concepts
Thu, Mar 3 2016Update: It's confirmed. The Trailcat is a Hellcat-powered Wrangler concept. Stay tuned for more details. Ahead of the 50th annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, the company is teasing two of the seven concepts it'll be taking along. There are virtually no solid details about these two Jeeps, save that they exist. But just reading the word scrawled across the Jeep Wrangler Trailcat concept's hood gets the blood pumping. We've been hearing about Hellcat-powered Jeeps for a while now. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has been the subject of a steady drum-roll of rumors and reputed confirmations, and even a spy video. But that's the Grand Cherokee. But a Wrangler? The aftermarket has been fooling with it. A company called Hauk will stuff one in a Wrangler for you, and surely other companies will follow. For Jeep itself to stuff one into a concept vehicle seems like a great way to fire up the diehard Wrangler folks. The other concept is called the Jeep Crew Chief, and it looks like an update of the Jeep Chief concept from last year. That incredible, retro design recalled the SJ-generation Jeep Cherokee of the 1970s and '80s. Last year's Chief was based on a Wrangler Unlimited, with the rear doors slightly disguised to emulate its two-doored forbearer. Based on the "Crew" part of the name, we can surmise it might be a crew-cab pickup conversion with the wonderful Chief front end. Expect it to be a hit, as well. Next-gen Jeep Wrangler to get 8-speed automatic and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel
Thu, Mar 5 2015Following up on previous reports, an anonymous source within FCA has confirmed to Autoblog that the next-generation Jeep Wrangler will come to market with both a 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6 and ZF's critically acclaimed eight-speed automatic transmission. While this pairing makes a lot of sense (we'll explain why in a minute), until now, we only had limited reports that either item would arrive in the next-generation Wrangler. This is the first time we've heard that the eight-speed automatic and the diesel would be paired together. That said, we shouldn't be surprised by this news. FCA currently sells the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 with the diesel/eight-speed gearbox combo, making its inclusion in the next-gen Wrangler far from an Apollo 11-caliber feat of engineering. Naturally, we reached out to Jeep for an official comment. Spokesperson Gabrielle Schulte gave us the expected response to this kind of inquiry, telling Autoblog that FCA does not comment on future product. Jeep has flirted with the idea of a diesel Wrangler for some time, with CEO Mike Manley telling Ward's Auto just over two years ago that a Wrangler diesel was "on the radar," although at that time, we weren't certain whether it'd be the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel showing up in the rough-and-tumble off-roader. As for the eight-speed, SEC filings back in November revealed that it'd be coming to the Wrangler in 2018. Our source could not confirm which model year the 8AT/diesel would arrive in. Related Video:
