2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport
Purchased fall 2011 for use as an errand vehicle for my business. Since owning have put less than 10K on it. Fully functional and have repaired all known issues. Recent parts include. New radiator, fans, belts, thermostat, water pump, a/c pump, oil pump, pan gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pressure sending unit, front u-joints, trunk assist shocks, recharged a/c. There are no check engine lights and no leaks. Body is in decent condition with no major scratches or dents. The hood clear coat is slightly faded. There are a handful of quarter sized surface rust areas, but they have been kept lubricated to prevent further damage. The truck has almost new BFGoodrich A/T tires. 4x4 works as it should. I have also installed rear helper air springs. Unit is located 10 minutes west of Newton, NJ 07860. Available for test drive with proper credentials. No delivery unless extremely local.
This vehicle is in great shape for the years and miles. It is not a rust bucket nor a mechanics nightmare. It has been well maintained and is in better shape than many vehicles with less miles. That said it is a Jeep Cherokee, it is simple, tough, and will drive through most anything. It is not a Toyota or Honda that you run 150K miles and scrap. Parts are very inexpensive and can be found everywhere. It helps to have a thirst for tinkering with these vehicles. If you are looking for a vehicle to drive for years and not do anything to this probably is not your truck. On the other hand if you want a vehicle that is capable, do not mind occasional tinkering, and can easily be converted into a plow vehicle or lifted 4x4 this could be your truck. Again this vehicle functions well and ready for test drive.

Jeep Liberty under investigation for door fires
Tue, 29 Oct 2013The Jeep Liberty has already had plenty of attention for possible fires thanks to the first-gen model's fuel tank, but now the midsize Jeep is under the microscope of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for another fire-related concern. NHTSA has opened an investigation for the 2012 Liberty after receiving two reports of electrical fires in the driver's door.
According to the investigation summary, around 80,000 vehicles could potentially be affected by this problem. In both reported fires, the drivers noticed smoke and then flames from the master power window switch, and they had to pull to a stop and exit through the passenger side of the SUV. According to Autoguide, there was one injury to a motorist who suffered burned fingers while trying to open the driver's door.
Interestingly, the Dodge Nitro is not yet involved in this investigation, even though it was still around for the 2012 model year; the Nitro ended production in 2011 about a year before the final Liberty rolled off the line for the 2013 model year. Scroll down for the official NHTSA investigation summary.
Watch the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat blast off
Thu, Jan 21 2016It's all but official. Jeep will produce a Hellcat version of the Grand Cherokee with crazy horsepower. We mean crazy. Today, our spy shooters have captured video footage of this demonic creation. It's pretty short, but you can see a dark Grand Cherokee launch with vigor and then brake hard to a halt. We think we detect the whine of a supercharger amid the commotion. Jeep boss Mike Manley has said on video that the JGC Hellcat will arrive before the end of next year. Specs aren't known, but it seems likely that the Jeep Hellcat will share the blown 6.2-liter V8 used in the Charger and Challenger Hellcats. We've also heard rumors the Trackhawk name could be used for this vehicle. In those applications, the beastly Hemi pumps out 707 manic horsepower. Really, why wouldn't you do this? Jeep sales surged 22 percent around the world last year to 1.2 million, the brand's best year ever. Clearly, Jeep decided it was time to add an extreme performance vehicle. Jeep already sells an SRT model that pumps out 475 hp, so adding a top-end Hellcat seems logical. And a Hell of a lot of fun. Related Video:
Refreshed Chrysler 300 SRT won't be sold in NA
Mon, 20 Oct 2014It looks like it might be time to bid farewell to the V8 rumble from the Chrysler 300 SRT - at least if you live in North America. The reported change comes as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles reshuffles its ranks with the Dodge brand, re-absorbing SRT and building its muscular reputation with the Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Meanwhile, Chrysler is taking a more mainstream approach, and that likely means the end of overt high-performance models from the division for now.
According to Automotive News, the 300 SRT will be discontinued in the US for 2015, but it won't be totally dead. Some right-hand drive markets will still get the brawny V8 sedan next year, a distinction that goes a long way toward explaining some spy shots we've seen recently.
The 300 SRT's North American demise probably shouldn't come as a total shock. In FCA's five-year plan, it says that the 300 is destined for a refresh to be unveiled later this year, presumably at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. There's no mention of the SRT model in the document, though, which seems to signal its end.
