UP FOR SALE I HAVE MY 1999 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT 4X4. 4.0L 6CYL AUTO TRANS. SUNROOF POWER WINDOWS, LOCKS AND DRIVERS SEAT. CRUISE TILT DOES HAVE AC THAT BLOWS COOL BUT NEEDS ANOTHER CAN OF R134A TO BE AS COLD AS IT SHOULD BE. NEW FENDER FLARES BRUSH GUARD AND KC LIGHTS. TIRES ARE 35IN BFG ALL TERRAIN'S ON THE FRONT AND BFG MUD TERRAIN'S ON THE BACK. TIRES WERE PUT ON EARLIER THIS YEAR AND STILL VERY NEW. JEEP HAS 4IN OF LIFT NOW AND I HAVE THE BLOCKS TO RAISE IT ANOTHER 2 INCHES WHICH ARE INCLUDED BUT NOT ON THERE YET. I HAVE ALSO RECENTLY BOUGHT A HITCH FOR THE JEEP I WILL INCLUDE BUT HAVE NOT INSTALLED ALONG WITH ANOTHER STEERING STABILIZER I BOUGHT JUST IN CASE I NEEDED IT. I HAVE HAD ALOT OF FUN WITH THIS JEEP BUT WIFE SAYS I HAVE WAY TO MANY PLAY TOYS AND I NEED TO FINISH MY OLD CHARGER SO SOMETHING HAS TO GO. CHEROKEE HAS A NICE CB RADIO AND ANTENNAE AND A SONY EXPLODE CD PLAYER ALONG WITH THE FACTORY 6 DISC CD CHANGER.
THE GOOD::: NEW TIRES BRUSH GUARD BATTERY FENDER FLARES BATTERY KC LIGHTS AND ALL NEW REAR BRAKES AND BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED JUST THIS YEAR ALONE. JEEP RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT.
THE BAD. JEEP DOES HAVE SOME RUST AS SEEN IN THE PICS BUT STILL VERY FIXABLE. SOME PAINT OFF IN THE BACK FROM RUNNING THE NEW TIRES WITHOUT FENDER FLARES FOR AWHILE. THE DRIVERS DOOR DOES SAG SOME WHEN YOU OPEN IT BUT STILL CLOSES JUST FINE. REAR VIEW MIRROR NEEDS REGLUED ON WINDSHIELD (GLUE INCLUDED) THERE IS A NICE CB RADIO IN THE JEEP WHICH TURNS ON AND ACTS LIKE IT WORKS BUT YOU CANT HEAR ANYTHING SO NOT SURE IF IT HAS A SPEAKER HOOKED UP. REAR STEREO SPEAKERS NEED REPLACED. I HAVE NEVER USED THE 6 DISC CD CHANGER OR REMOTE AND HAVE NO CLUE IF THEY WORK OR EVEN HOW TO WORK THEM. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON . TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS FOR SOME STUPID LITTLE THING AND DONT WORRY ABOUT IT SO I NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH IT.
I HAVE TRIED TO EXPLAIN EVERY LITTLE THING WRONG I COULD FINE WITH IT. I WAS MUCH HARDER ON THE JEEP THAN ANYBODY USUALLY WOULD BE. WITH THAT SAID I DRIVE THIS JEEP ALL OVER AND WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO JUMP IN IT AT ANY TIME AND DRIVE ANYWHERE. IT HAS BEEN VERY RELIABLE.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT gets power increase, minor tweaks for 2015
Tue, 02 Sep 2014As a brand within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, SRT may have an uncertain future, but it's pumping out some seriously mean machines anyway. The supercharged Hellcat V8 may be gobbling up most of the headlines with its 707 horsepower, but even the Grand Cherokee SRT is getting some small updates for the 2015 model year.
Most importantly for many enthusiasts, the Grand Cherokee SRT is getting a slight power bump. Don't expect the 700+ hp from the Hellcat, but this SUV sees a modest 5-hp and 5-pound-feet of torque improvement to bring output to 475 hp and 470 lb-ft for its 6.4-liter V8 with an eight-speed automatic. The minor change doesn't change the sprint to 60 miles per hour, clocking in at the same 4.8 seconds, or the tow rating at 7,200 pounds. Still, more grunt is never a bad idea.
Another new addition is the Active Noise Canceling system as a standard feature for this powerful SUV. It adds four microphones around the vehicle and uses the stereo system to nullify extraneous sound. However, Jeep claims that the meaty exhaust note from the V8 still gets through into the cabin for driver enjoyment.
Next Jeep Wrangler to keep solid axles
Mon, Feb 16 2015Jeep fans, you're not out of the woods yet, but the latest news is good: Automotive News reports that the next-generation Wrangler will stick with floating solid axles front and rear. Fiat-Chrysler wouldn't comment on the report, but the theory is that the combination of cost, capability, and ease of modification were deciding factors. We're sure the multibillion dollar aftermarket industry is also pleased. Remember, Jeep showed off the lifted Cherokee Dakar Concept at the Easter Jeep Safari last year, but the first ingredient in the recipe for jacking up its independent suspension was, "a whole new suspension." Above that there will be an aluminum body that's smaller than the current one, which Allpar says could be done with a narrower track and tighter gaps. It will sport a fixed windshield with increased rake to improve aero efficiency, and while there are rumors of a diesel-engined version that we'll finally get in the US, there's been no reliable info as of yet to back that up.
