Exterior paint is Very nice and clean, it has a shiny gloss and has No abnormal abrasions. It is 15 years old so it is Not perfect but overall Very clean considering age-miles. We did refinish the hood due to stone chips however the rest of the paint appears to be original. Most importantly it is original and has been a salt-free Virginia truck the majority of its life. You will be very impressed with how clean and preserved it is.
Interior is Very clean and original, It has never been smoked in and Overall interior is Very impressive. There are a few very minor blemishes on the headliner. No kids/dogs have ruined this one.
The vehicle Runs-Rides and Drives Excellent. Suspension is Very tight and there are No abnormal noises, as stated the vehicle has just passed a comprehensive Virginia state safety inspection. Tires are nice with about 70% tread.
These years XJ Cherokees (84-01) are arguably one of the best Jeeps ever made and are capable of going several hundred thousand miles. They are a Great "bang for the buck", Very reliable, inexpensive to maintain, reasonable fuel mileage, Cool styling and Very capable off-Road.

Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.
NHTSA closes book on Jeep 'trailer hitch' recall after all
Mon, 20 Jan 2014After much debating and hand-wringing, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration now says it has "no reservations" with Chrysler's plan to recall certain Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models over concerns that their fuel tanks, which are located behind the rear axle, could rupture or leak in the event of a rear impact. The longstanding argument between the two entities saw Chrysler openly defy the Feds after a request to recall 2.7 million units back in June.
Chrysler's "voluntary campaign" will instead see it recall 1.56-million 1993-2004 model year Grand Cherokee SUVs, along with 2002-2007 Liberty models. Affected vehicles will get a trailer hitch installed free of charge, which Chrysler says will provide an additional degree of protection for the fuel tanks in the event of a crash. Jeeps with Mopar-branded hitches or hitches that were installed at the factory aren't affected by this recall.
Chrysler's argument throughout this battle has been that the Jeeps in question are no more susceptible to fires than comparable vehicles from the same time period, a position that NHTSA has seemingly arrived at as well. "Those vehicles performed at a rate similar to their peers. That is the keystone analysis as to whether something poses an unreasonable risk to safety," said outgoing NHTSA boss David Strickland during an interview with the The Associated Press.
