1996 Jeep Cherokee Country Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l Runs 100% No Reserve on 2040-cars
Ocean City, Maryland, United States
For sale is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country with four wheel drive. It runs and drives with no problems and is being sold with no reserve. The legendary 4.0L six cylinder engine purrs along without a miss, smoke or over heat. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation. No four wheel drive problems. The brakes, suspension and steering seem normal. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is in better that average condition for the age. You might find a scratch or two but it has no major dents or dings. There is the normal surface rust on the unpainted parts under the truck such as springs, axles, etc. but no body rust. The windshield is crack or chip free. The lights and lenses are bright and clear. The decorative door moulding on the driver side is missing. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 25% tread (see pic). The interior is in good condition but could use a good cleaning. No wear areas except on the driver seat. The power options such as windows, locks, cruise control work as designed. The radio is missing but the wiring harness is there. The heat is hot but the AC is warm and may need a charge. This Jeep Cherokee is mechanically sound but could use some cosmetic TLC. We have sold Jeeps with the 4.0L engine with over 300K miles. They are made to go the distance. There are no current mechanical problems and no indication of any impending issues. The new owner will be able to drive home with confidence. This pre-owned Cherokee is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer. We require, on ALL internet sales, a $200 internet auction fee which covers document, clerical, airport transportation, IT support, internet provider and all other internet auction expenses. This fee covers our fixed expenses and allows us to sell with no reserve. We offer, with proof of insurance, a 60 day temporary tag for $50. This is a NO RESERVE auction which means that the high bidder, at auction end, must purchase the vehicle. Only bid if you intend to buy and you understand the payment procedure. Please don't insult our intelligence, and yours, with some lame excuse why you can't buy when you win. ALL non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay. IF THE DEPOSIT IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS THROUGH PAYPAL AS REQUIRED WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RELIST AND REPORT AN UNPAID BIDDER. We try to describe all vehicles accurately. For questions call 410 251-7326. Thanks. SINCE THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A CURRENT MARYLAND INSPECTION, MARYLAND MVA REGULATIONS STATE THAT IT CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED BY A NON-MARYLAND RESIDENT. Deposits are non-refunded. |

Chrysler's Woodward Dream Cruise festivities include Ram concept truck debut
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The streets will be crowded next weekend along Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan for the 19th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As part of the run-up to the festivities, Chrysler has announced that all of its brands - Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, SRT and Mopar - will bring along their latest vehicles. Also included will be a collection of classic American cars and various activities for attendees at the official Chrysler location on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road.
Special to this year, Ram brand director Bob Hegbloom and head of design John Dehner will unveil a Ram concept truck on Saturday. Chrysler will also bring Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs fame along to show off a few custom Chrysler-made vehicles of his own. Fans of the brand on Facebook will get the chance to virtually customize a vehicle from the automaker's portfolio, with the winner getting their dream car built for them by Chrysler. Pretty cool stuff, no?
As in past years, Ford and General Motors will have an official presence at the event as well, and you can expect to see plenty of cars of all makes and models from all parts of the globe. The madness starts this Friday, August 16, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM, with the main event taking place on Saturday, from 9 AM to 9 PM. For more details on the show, including events and their times, check out the press release below.
Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.
Toledo gets proactive in fight to keep Jeep Wrangler
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Let's make this very plain - the city of Toledo, OH loves its Jeeps. It loves them so fervently that the very rumor of the Jeep Wrangler moving out of its traditional home prompted the city's mayor, D. Michael Collins, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich to hold a weekend conference call with Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.
"The purpose of this call was for the mayor and governor to gain clarity on Mr. Marchionne's comments last week regarding the possibility of the next generation of Jeep Wrangler being built at a location other than the Toledo North Assembly Plant," a spokesman for the mayor's office told The Toledo Blade.
While no further commitments were made by any party, Collins and Kasich's statement was quite unequivocal about keeping Toledo's unwillingness to let the Wrangler go, saying "the city and its partners will again rise to the occasion to ensure that the new Wrangler is made in Toledo." According to the newspaper, the next step is for face-to-face meetings between officials from Ohio and FCA.
