Hello, my name is Austin and number is 517-281-0254. I've been selling here on eBay for over ten years with over 300 transactions and not a single negative feedback which is almost unheard of. Ive also sold many high ticket items including cars, motorcycles dirtbikes, snowmobiles back in Michigan and even an older Cessna 152 for the airport down the road. Please feel free to call or email me anytime and PLEASE, PLEASE don't waste my time bidding if you don't have the money or "permission" to do so. Thank you!

On to how I got the Jeep! As you can see from the pictures its very clean, well taken care of and maintained truck. I bought it when I found out that my neighbor had sold it to a local shop when he found out how much the repairs on the suspension would be. I had seen it and had always admired it and when it wasnt in his drive after a couple of days I asked what he had done with it and when he told me I purchased it from the shop for considerably more then it was purchased for but it proved to be worth it and did have new suspension all around (shocks, bushings). Drives just like the other two XJ's that I owned before but has the more desired and rare Country edition trim. I planned to have it as a second vehicle with the intensions of putting a hitch on it (also included) and buying a boat to pull with it. It drove so nice I sold my car to save the money on insurance, repairs and maintenance of  my other car at the time. Working six days a week and missing my old BMW has made me pass on the boat and I bought a BMW. Now I have two cars and have moved into a condo so I don't have a spot to park it and having to keep it registered and carry insurance as well. Needless to say it doesn't make sense. I would love to keep it and honestly had the intensions of having it long enough to get "antique" plates. The parts are so readily available and cost effective that its one of the most economical vehicles on the road today. Because of its high demand and popularity Chrysler continued to make this body style for 20yrs! This SUV had such a great reputation that hundreds of Police agency's adopted it. As you can tell I'm a true fan of not only the Jeep brand but the straight six engine no matter who the manufacture that one happens to be in the car I have now 535i. I know I'm not alone because of how many random people complement me on its condition which typically leads to them telling me a story about the one they had/have. A simple Google search will confirm the cult like following and the extensive availability aftermarket/oem parts and accessories.

Please keep in mind that this is a 20yr old truck and has over 200k miles. With that being said, looking at it and based on both the interior and exterior condition you would never guess.

The GOOD

- Runs like a top

-Shifts smooth

-Clean truck w/ Clean FL title

-4X4 Perfect

-New Tires (Less then 3k miles)

-New Interstate Battery ($200)

-New Alternator

-New water pump

-New thermostat

-New plugs/wires/cap

New Fuel/Air filter

-New Suspension

-New belt/tensioner

-New wipers

-New oil filter

All new parts and pretty much all were one at about the same time last December. You could probably use my name for the warranty if needed because all parts were purchased through advance auto. Most of it was just preventative after the replacing the battery when it was really the alternator that was what was wrong.

The BAD

-20yrs old

-Has high miles

-Rips in front seats

-Small amount of rust on top

-Power windows work with drivers control but not on pass door

-Rear windshield washer doesn't spray. Wiper works

-Couple chips (not cracks) in windshield

-The right fog light lens is broken

-One center cap is missing

The truck runs great and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere tomorrow. The truck drives straight down the road. Its quite, smooth, gets great gas mileage and the cruise control works. The air blows VERY COLD and the heat comes out VERY HOT. I'm probably forgetting a GOOD or a BAD but nothing major. It was very well kept and if it needed anything it got it. Just remember its 20yrs old. This is a great chance to pick up a nice work horse, first vehicle, extra vehicle or nice 4X4 to drive in the snow so you can put up your nice car that you're making those expensive payments on and don't want to completely trash in one winter. I lived in Michigan until about 7yrs ago so I know first hand there's nothing more sad then looking at all of that salt covering every square millimeter of the outside and the floorboards inside of what use to be a beautiful car.

I have a buddy that's a shipping broker and he'll make us a great deal. I will pay for it up to $500.00 which he said would cover it from here to New York if the buy it now is used. Thank you.

FCA's puzzling trademark spree includes Apache and Orange Peelz

Thu, Mar 12 2020

Here's one for the Mystery Machine. As noted by the WagoneerFans forum and picked up by Motor1, Fiat Chrysler recently went on a one-day trademark application spree at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. On March 6, the automaker applied for the names Apache, Farout, Orange Peelz, Shocker, Tomahawk, and Top Dog. All have been requested for "Land vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles," and the best guess so far has them being applied to concepts during next month's Easter Jeep Safari, which, assuming it goes ahead, will happen April 4-20. As for historical ties, one name has a connection to Dodge, another was a codename for a Dodge engine, and one was used on a previous Easter Jeep Safari concept. Tomahawk rings the loudest bell, that name applied to the four-wheeled, Viper-engined concept motorcycle that Dodge rolled out at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show. The company supposedly sold nine examples of the "rolling sculpture" through Neiman Marcus over a four-year period. It doesn't appear FCA has used the name since, internally or otherwise. There is, however, a Cherokee tomahawk — not referring to a Jeep, but the light, short-handled ax used by the Native American Cherokee tribe. This one seems made for Safari use. Apache has a Dodge and a Jeep tie-in. At one time, Apache was the codename for the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 marketed as the 392 V8 on the Charger and Challenger R/T Scat Pack trims. That engine makes 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. But Jeep showed a Wrangler Apache concept (pictured) at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari, built with a Mopar conversion kit for a 6.4-liter Hemi making 470 hp and 470 lb-ft. Mopar sold the V8 swap kits at least through 2016, but they appear to have fallen off the Mopar menu. At one time there were rumors of a supercharged Apache with more than 600 horsepower, and wouldn't that be a welcome surprise in Moab. The Farout could be a more or less extreme overlanding take on last year's Easter Jeep Safari Wayout concept, depending on whether one considers "way" or "far" more radical. The Shocker, Jeep might be disappointed to discover, already has an outside link in the Jeep Shocker stickers made for Wichita State fans who love America's 4x4. As for Orange Peelz, it's pretty close to Pedro's bicycling degreaser called Oranj Peelz, but a Jeep conception could be anything. Except maybe a paint color. Hackers arrested after stealing more than 30 Jeeps in Texas

Fri, Aug 5 2016

This article has been updated with details on how the thefts were carried out, and with comments from FCA. It seems the news regarding vehicle hacking continues to get worse, especially when it comes to products from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Last year, a Jeep Cherokee in St. Louis, Missouri, was wirelessly hacked from Pittsburgh. Nissan had to shut down its Leaf app because of vulnerabilities. Now, a pair of hackers in Houston, Texas, stole more than 30 Jeeps over a six-month period. The two were arrested by police last Friday while attempting to steal another vehicle. ABC 13 in Houston reports that police had been following Michael Arcee and Jesse Zelay for several months but were unable to catch them in the act until now. The two were using a laptop to connect to and start a vehicle. The thieves were able to access Fiat Chrysler's own DealerCONNECT software. After entering the vehicle identification number, the hackers were able to reprogram the cars' security systems to accept a generic key, according to The Houston Chronicle. Additionally, Automotive News reports that FCA subsequently updated the terms of use for its DealerCONNECT program. These thefts were not related to the UConnect remote hacks from last year. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. In April, this surveillance video showed the theft of a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It was this footage that first led the police to Arcee and Zelay. The police began to follow and record the pair. That investigation eventually led to Friday's arrest. Both are charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. In addition, Arcee is charged with felon in possession of a weapon and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. According to ABC 13, Homeland Security is investigating more than 100 stolen FCA vehicles that they believe were hacked using this method. After their theft, the vehicles were brought across the border to Mexico. FCA is currently conducting an internal investigation into the matter. After this article was posted, the company reached out to Autoblog, stating "FCA US takes the safety and security of its customers seriously and incorporates security features in its vehicles that help to reduce the risk of unauthorized and unlawful access to vehicle systems and wireless communications. FCA US has been cooperating with Houston Police Department since they first started the investigation.

2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Off-road Review | Earning our trail rating the easy way

Wed, Sep 5 2018

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — When all 4,145 pounds of Jeep slams down on the rock, the BANG! cuts the tranquility of California's Sierra Nevada mountains, echoes off the surrounding hillsides, and travels for miles through the thick unmolested forest of ancient pines. The brutality of the impact sends a shutter though the Wrangler's chassis, compresses our spines into its seat padding, and momentarily yanks my hands from its leather wrapped steering wheel. Then comes the high-pitch screeching as the torque of the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and the frenetic clawing from its knobby BFGoodrich All-Terrains as it violently drags the steel of the Wrangler's floorpan along the rock's face. There's a groan from the front suspension as it reaches max articulation and the inevitable crunch when the solid mass mangles the thin gauge stainless steel of the JL's tailpipe. With the first obstacle cleared and 16 miles of America's most challenging off-road trail still ahead, I realize the Rubicon Trail Foundation has a lively sense of humor. Flip open the organization's printed map of the "world-famous Rubicon Trail" and the first thing you see is a quick list of tips to help you get from one trailhead to the other safely and responsibly. Right under where it advises you to pack out all trash and use the portable toilets, it states, "High clearance vehicles recommended." LOL. ROTF. LMAO. Bwaaaaahaaaaaaaa. That's a good one. But I guess it takes just one jerk in a Camry to ruin it for the rest of us. Jeep Jamboree USA, an organization famous for its off-road events on the trail, makes the point with a little less comicality, "A minimum of 33-inch tires, front & rear lockers, tow points, skid plates, rocker panel protection and CB Radios are mandatory requirements for the Rubicon Trail Jeep Jamboree," states its website in oversized bold letters. Our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the latest ultimate off-road factory Jeep on the new JL chassis, has all of it with the exception of the CB radio, which is unfortunate since black bears are easier to come by on the Rubicon than cell service. Our iPhones are as useless out here as mechanical sympathy for our steed. "Don't even try it," says one of our trail guides as he watches me fish my device from my luggage. "There's no service until we get back to Tahoe." That's a big 10-4. Lake Tahoe's crystal blue waters and charming downtown are about 30 miles from the Rubicon's eastern most trailhead. It's our finish line.
