Up for sale is my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4 with the 4.0L Straight Six Engine. I bought it because I had one just like this when I was in High School and lasted forever. The body and interior are in excellent condition for it's age. The paint is all original and in incredible condition without any peeling at all, only a couple of very minor scratches here and there. The front end has no road rash or stone chips. I have a brand new Le Bra front cover that will be included to keep it that way. I took the pictures today and the truck has not been washed and the marks in the front are just bugs. The truck still have the "Jeep" Fog Lamps Covers which are almost impossible to find. There's a dent in the rear bumper as shown in the pictures. The power leather seats are in incredible condition !! They don't even show normal wear. The original jack, handle and lug wrench and the original full size spare tire with the honeycomb wheel and the original Good Year tire has never been out of the truck. The truck also has the original cargo cover and spare tire cover as well. The headliner was redone. Carpets could use a good shampoo. The truck has power windows, locks, seats, mirrors, antenna and they all work. The radio is the original Jeep Radio and does not work, but the antenna goes up and down when you turn the radio on/off. Lights, Horn, Wipers, Turn Signals, Dome Lights they all work. All four tires are brand new and in the correct size and were just installed before my purchase and looks really nice. Tires have less than 2000 miles on them. There's some thing that needs attention. I'm not a mechanic and don't know anything about it and besides it's been hard for me to find somebody to help me. I work a lot and I just don't have time to fix these issues, although by checking in the Jeep Cherokee Forums looks like easy to fix. The things that needs to be fixed are: 1-The gas gauge works but reads backwards. 2-The cruise control and the A/C does not works and the air only comes out the dash vents. The air compressor turns on, but still no cold air. I was told that there's a vacuum leak somewhere and also that makes the truck stalls sometimes, but haven't been able to find it. 3-The brake light and antilock lights are on. The Jeep had some work done at a Dodge/Jeep dealership in GA (I have all receipts) and it seems that there's a bad sensor that wasn't changed because was in backorder at the time I purchased the truck. The Jeep does not leak oil or coolant, does not overheat. Leaks only a drop of oil from the transfer case every two or three days. I tried to describe the Jeep the best I could, but if you have any other questions, please ask, I'll respond honestly and as quickly as possible. The price is negotiable (my loss is your gain), feel free to email me with any offer but please, don't try to lowball me. Also you are more than welcome to come and see it. I have a clean Georgia title. The truck is under the previous owner's name that can be reached if necessary, but I have the title and all documents. For all Jeep fans, you will not find another Limited model with a body as straight and original as this one. Paint looks like new, the weather stripping is soft and supple and the original tinted glass is beautiful. You can tell that has been garaged it's entire life. Auto Check gives it a high score and the truck only had one elderly owner since new, but was not used for a long time and needs some TLC, but for me, the fact that the exterior / interior are all original and in great shape is a plus. Thanks for looking

2014 Jeep Cherokee uncovered with bold new look
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Jeep has been shuttling around Alfa Romeo-based test mules and camouflaged prototypes of its replacement for the current Liberty for some time now. Those heavily disguised vehicles may have offered a glimpse of the new Jeep, but a new set of production-line images from Jalopnik tell a much more complete story.
Jalopnik report indicates unequivocally that the Cherokee name will be re-upped in place of Liberty, though it doesn't spell out exactly where that thinking comes from, though a name change has been rumored for some time. Chances are good that the same source that delivered these factory images delivered the name, as well.
The Cherokee absolutely has some Alfa Romeo DNA in its makeup, the final product is far from looking like its Guilietta ancestor. The athletic, high-waisted design is relatively attractive from what we can see here, though the grille and headlight treatment are sure to cause a lot of ruckus when the Cherokee makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April. The very narrow, pointed headlamps are pinched in a not particularly Jeep-ish fashion, and the curved, short version of the seven-slot grille is far more rakish than anything that Jeep has produced to date.
Going high-tech, the 4x4 way
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
