I have a 1957 Willys cj3b according to title.. good ohio title but the serial number on frame begins with 453 which makes it a 1953 frame maybe a typo on the title. This was a barn find in Southern Ohio used exclusively on the farm. The standard jeep metal tub removed and replaced with a Parkette (brand)fiberglass tub handmade in the Pacific Northwest. According to ewillys.com this is pretty rare to find a parkette this far east of the Mississippi, most are in the Pacific Northwest and California and Oregon. This has a full roll cage as you can see in the pictures goes all the way to a frame mount. I just put on newer rehap'ed wheels on it with brand new Goodyear Tires. Has brand new Summit Racing headers installed no mufflers.
This has no gauges or speedo on the dash just light switch, all the wires are there but somebody decided they didn't need instruments. Body is in near original shape no cracks or splits. has a Parkette tail gate. Doesn't have front fenders on as you can see in the pics but I just picked up a couple that need rehap'ed. Needs new brakes and new brake lines in the rear.Has trailer hitch. Needs new shocks. I have removed the gas tank and cleaned it inside and out, blasted the outside and repainted needs to be reinstalled. Starts and runs on aux gas tank right now. Needs steering gear re connected has power steering as you can see in the pictures bolts are out of the steering knuckle.
I think in a few hours in your garage or your mechanics garage.. you can be off roading next weekend.
This vehicle must be picked up locally in 44262 zipcode. I will work with your shipper if your out of the northeast ohio area at your expense. will not ship outside USA under an circumstances This is an as is purchase with no warranty expressed or implied as is where is. I will guarantee that it starts.

FCA seeking new trial in Jeep fire case, calls $150M judgement 'grossly excessive'
Sat, May 9 2015Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is fighting back after a Decatur County, GA jury ordered the company to pay $150 million to the family of a four-year-old boy that was killed after a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed and caught fire. The company is requesting the judge reduce the award, and should Walden's family not agree to the lower sum, that a new trial be held. The Detroit Free Press reports that FCA would be forced to pay $120 million over the death of young Remington Walden, with an extra $30 million being paid to the boy's family. Neither figure sits well with the automaker, though, which called the fine "grossly excessive," and claimed it was in violation of Georgia state law. The judgment stems from FCA's long-running problem with the fuel tanks of certain Jeep models built in the 1990s and 2000s. According to the newspaper, FCA argues that the jury was biased after the Waldens' attorneys played on the their passions and pushed for a big award, saying the wrongful death award was 11 times more than any appeals court has ever upheld. FCA said attorneys for the plaintiffs told the jury to base the settlement on Sergio Marchionne's total compensation, $68 million. FCA also claims in its motion that the young boy's suffering was brief. "A $30-million pain-and-suffering award for what plaintiffs acknowledge was at most one minute of suffering is irrational," the motion, which was obtained by The Detroit Free Press, read. "Where such plainly improper arguments are immediately followed by irrational and stunningly excessive damage awards, there can be no doubt that the jury acted from passion and prejudice." Jim Butler, the attorney for the Waldens, has called the motion "nonsense," although he said the family will accept whatever figure the judge sets.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
Marchionne: Midsize pickup still not in the cards; Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler could use aluminum
Wed, 07 May 2014During the Fiat-Chrysler briefings on Tuesday, Reid Bigland, head of Ram Trucks, outlined the new product plans for his brand, including confirmation that an all-new light-duty Ram 1500 will launch in 2017. From there, discussions spun off in two directions, with the main questions being: will Ram build a midsize pickup? And, following Ford's move to extensively use aluminum in its new 2015 F-150, will Chrysler be using this weight-saving material for the next round of its fullsize truck, as well?
"I think there is room for a Ram 1000," Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne (pictured above) told members of the media, saying this is a conversation the automaker has been having internally for several years now. "We've tried this ... we've actually taken it to clinics," Marchionne stated, adding that the "response has been lukewarm."
