This Scrambler has had a frame off restoration 6 years ago by the previous owner in Nashville Tennessee.  Comes with the original 4.2, 4 speed (new clutch).  Has been upgraded to Howell Throttle Body Injection.  I recently put an Old Man Emu suspension lift (3.5")and new Goodyear Duratek 31 x 10.50 offroad tires, stainless steel wheel hubs, rear bumper, side bars and KC lights. Has aftermarket air conditioning. Everything on this Jeep works except for the speedometer.  I have a new replacement speedometer cable that goes with.  Also the spare tire has been re-located to the bed.  The original spare tire carrier will go with the Jeep.  Aftermarket Alpine stereo with marine grade speakers. The frame was powdercoated gray and now shows a few very light spots of surfacew rust (see pics). I have recently redone the entire under body coating with POR-15 and it looks great.  Overall I would rate this Jeep a 9 out of 10. Gets tons of compliments evereywhere I go. The previous owner had several parts replaces on the motor including intake and exhaust manifolds, alternator and several electronic ignition componets.  This does not leak any fluid anywhere.  The bed, roll bar and interior floor has been coated with line-ex.  The steering is tight and this Jeep rides as smooth as a new one.  The previous suspension drove like a log wagon and I spent over $1k for the new one.

I have described this vehicle as best I can.  Clear title in hand. Only reason for selling is to put a down payment on a new house (wife).

Ask if you have any questions.  Jeep is for sale locally in Indianapolis, IN, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.

I will assist with shipping company if that is what you need.  Cash or cleared cashiers check only.

Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.

Chrysler recalling nearly 141k vehicles over electrical woes

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Software glitches that randomly illuminate warning lights and cause instrument cluster blackouts are forcing Chrysler to recall 140,800 vehicles, The Detroit News reports. The automaker is recalling 132,000 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 91,559 of which are in the US. In addition to the Jeep recalls, Chrysler is adding 10,800 2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks to the list for similar problems.
Chrysler reportedly says, "Both events occurred infrequently and appeared to resolve themselves by tuning the vehicle's ignition off and then on."
Engineers discovered a problem with the anti-lock-braking system software that causes the instrument cluster display of the Grand Cherokee to illuminate warning lights and black out - even its ABS and electronic stability control systems are affected. To fix the Jeeps, Chrysler will update the vehicle's software.

2014 Jeep Cherokee gets official in a hurry

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Automakers work very, very hard to keep their new vehicles under wraps until they can present them in exactly the way they want it - typically choreographed under the bright lights of an auto show, or perhaps with photos or video in an idyllic location. Spy shooters and leaks, in other words, keep executives and public-relations types up at night.
This is likely to be one of the most polarizing designs to come out in 2014.
Take today, for instance, when the team over at Jalopnik got a big scoop - the first undisguised shots of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, a model whose name wasn't even officially confirmed yet. The clandestine images taken inside of a factory were blurry and didn't exactly show off the crossover's radical new contours in the same sort of flattering light that Jeep probably would've wished for its product reveal. So the Auburn Hills automaker has wisely reacted by spilling at least some of the beans on the new model, giving us these four photos and confirming the Liberty replacement's name, Cherokee.
