1985 Jeep Cj7 Laredo - 43k Original Miles - on 2040-cars
Oswego, New York, United States
I think you will agree, the following pictures speak for themselves. This CJ7 is one of the few unrestored, unmolested survivors left out there ! It is completely original and for the most part , rust free. With the exception of some very light scale on the underside of the truck. No dents, No dings , No modifications. Unfortunately , someone gave it one of the worst paint jobs , EVER ! Originally the truck was Garnet Red , with Gray Laredo stripes. Although it is Base/Clear coat, and has absolutely ZERO body fill of any type. It truly is a horrible quality paint job. (finish wise). Fortunately , it is presentable. As you can see , it looks good. Because of it's silver color , you really can't see the bad finish until you look very close at the truck. When I use the word "original" , I'm talking about right down to the original windshield frame, exhaust system, etc... The only things not original on the truck is the carburetor, & the MSD Ignition System. The tires are new and have less than 1000 miles on them. All 5 were purchased and installed at the same time. I have the Carfax backing up the original miles & no accidents. When I purchased the truck, I immediately drove it home, an hour down the interstate completely trouble-free @ 70MPH. I would be happy to show the truck in person or answer any questions . My cell phone number is 772-215-8387. My name is Chip. It's a Florida cell number , but the truck is located in upstate New York. Thanks for looking. On May-31-14 at 15:40:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME. As the JEEP is also for sale locally , Thanks |

2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.
Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver is a more rugged Trailhawk
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We briefly mentioned the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver that was heading to SEMA last week when discussing the Mopar lineup set to be shown in Las Vegas. At the time, though, we weren't able to dive too deeply into details. But with SEMA in full swing, we were able to sneak over and grab some snaps of one of the first modified Cherokees we've seen. The Cherokee is, after all, kind of an unknown quantity in the modification department, being so new and featuring such a polarizing design. We were quite interested to see what Mopar could come up with.
Starting with the Trailhawk 4x4 and its 3.2-liter V6, the engine is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust, although it's not clear what sort of power boost has resulted. We'll admit, we were hoping Jeep and Mopar would get a bit more aggressive with the Cherokee's suspension (has anyone thrown a few-inch lift on the new Jeep yet?), but there's no mention of upgrades beyond the knobby, off-road tires. Those should do some good when the going gets rough, while rock rails are there to protect the Auburn Pearl paint on the body.
Speaking of that paint, it's complemented by an interesting graphics package in contrasting black and Crush Orange. The cabin sports Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, along with tech-friendly items like a wireless charging system for cellphones and wireless internet.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Jeep's Super 'Ute Is Fun Thrown In The Face Of Conventional Wisdom
Let's talk asses for a moment. What do they have to do with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, you ask?
Well, we're here to tell you that this SRT can haul some. Lots of them, as a matter of fact: Jeep has increased the towing capacity of its most powerful SUV to 7,200 pounds. Assuming the average donkey weighs about 400 pounds, the Grand Cherokee SRT can haul ass to the tune of 18 burros, give or take a covered trailer or so, which is significantly more than it could in previous years. In 2013, the machine could manage 5,000 pounds, while the first generation was rated at just 3,500. The increase is mostly attributable to a new eight-speed automatic transmission and beefier rear axle, and it's a welcome update for those who'd like to use their SUV as, well, an SUV with an emphasis on utility.
