1985 Jeep CJ7 with a fiberglass body tub. Original chassis to my knowledge along with motor and transmission it has a 2.5 inch body lift and what I believe is a 4.5 inch suspension lift along with 33 inch tires. It has had a total of three owners to my knowledge. The first was a man from Putnam County in Florida who traded it to a man for a car for his daughter. I bought it from him after only 5 days in his possession. I have had this Jeep since August 10, 2011. I have put in new spark plug wires, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, new ignition coil, new starter, new battery, a new crown yoke with U-style bolts and a new brake pump. I bought two new Moser one piece rear axles but only put in the drivers side and never got around to putting in the passenger side rear axle. I bought new rear brake pads and have not put those in but I still have them. It has a bestop top and bestop seats. The doors come off or just take off the windows. The four wheel drive works and the front hubs lock in place. The only issue I have is that I lost my rear drive shaft when I was driving down the highway. The vehicle needs a 26 3/4 inch rear drive shaft so the vehicle will run at a faster speed than 5 mph. I bought this Jeep because I used it to go hunting and mudding. My job and now lack of tools has prevented me from keeping up on the maintenance on the Jeep and I would rather see someone else get the use out of it that I did.

2017 Jeep Com-Patriot looks like a mini Grand Cherokee

Mon, Sep 19 2016

Jeep plans to merge the Compass and the Patriot into a single model, and today we're getting an undisguised look at the compact crossover. These images from Brazil's Autoo were captured before a photo shoot. The SUV, which retains the same shape as the prototypes our photographers captured testing earlier this year, borrows a sizable amount of styling cues from the larger, more expensive Jeep Grand Cherokee. If the SUV's badging is anything to go off of, Jeep will retain the Compass moniker for the upcoming vehicle. At the front, the SUV has a similar grille to the Grand Cherokee with seven rectangular openings, which are smaller than the ones found on the current compass, with chrome trim. The headlights and LED daytime lights are also similar to the ones on the Grand Cherokee. The black roof, which is a new touch for Jeep, is a nod toward the SUV's European competitors like the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The new model loses the square-like taillights on the previous model for oval-shaped ones. Overall, the SUV adds modern touches to the aging Compass and Patriot models while staying true to Jeep's iconic look. The SUV is expected to utilize a modified version of the platform found on the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X. Power could come from a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that's mated to either a nine-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox. Just like the current model, the upcoming Compass will have front-wheel drive as standard with all-wheel drive as an option. The next-gen Compass will be manufactured at Jeep's new plant in Brazil, where the vehicle will also makes it official debut later this year. The baby Grand Cherokee will make its first appearance on American soil at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Jeep Renegade to show off new Mopar gear in Detroit

Sun, Jan 11 2015

Jeep's adorable new Renegade is arriving in the US market soon (we're looking forward to driving it in a couple weeks), and to highlight that fact, the American off-road brand is trotting out a pair of Mopar-modified compact CUVs for the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Rather simply, Jeep has modified one Renegade to show off its prowess in the city, and another that plays up the crossover's off-road abilities. Despite their different purposes, both vehicles show off Mopar's parts catalog and Jeep's Authentic Accessories lineup for the new baby Jeep. The Urban Renegade borrows uses a Renegade Limited with Anvil paint as its base and draws from the Accessories catalog, adding a number of Omaha orange accents and satin black wheels. Mopar donated a bike-hauling trailer hitch to the rear of the Renegade, while its cabin features Katzkin leather-lined seats. Once again, Omaha orange accents brighten up the Limited's cabin. As for the off-road model, Mopar got a bit more involved, starting with the Renegade Trailhawk and adding satin black wheels with Colorado red trim and X-shaped graphics, borrowed from military jerry cans, to the Commando Green exterior. A number of prototype and one-off body mods were fitted to the Trailhawk, including a concept skid plate, rock rails and a new rear valence. Inside, Katzkin leather was applied to the Renegade's seats while the Omaha orange accents from the Urban Renegade have been replaced with Commando Green bits and bobs in the off-road model. Look for more on these new Renegade twins come Monday, when we hit the floor of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Until then, check out the official press release from Mopar.
