This 1984 Jeep CJ7 is a nice driver at an attractive price point. Clad in white with a black soft top, doors and interior, it has a great look -- paint quality is good and all panels are straight and solid. 31x10.50 mud terrain tireson black wagon wheels give it a more aggressive look than stock, but the suspension has not been modified so it has good street manners and is comfortable to drive. The soft top is newer and in good condition; much of the hardware (hood hinges, windshield hinges, etc) has been upgraded to stainless.

The interior shows well with factory front bucket seats with newer upholstery in excellent condition, plus a Bestop rear bench seat. Dash has been upgraded to brushed stainless; a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input is mounted in the locking center console. The roll bar is protected by a padded, zippered cover in good condition; three-point belts are mounted for the front seats with lap belts for the rear.

Under the hood is AMC's 258 cubic inch (4.2 liter) straight six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch and gearbox feel good and all service is up to date. This Jeep starts and runs very well, and it drives great thanks to power steering and power disc brakes.

  5. Funds & Financing:

    1. Buyer must secure their financing before bidding on the vehicle.

      Cash (In Person), Bank Wire Transfer, Cashier's Check (a bank delay may result for Cashier’s Checks, if you intend on using a Certified Check we will hold the Title of the vehicle until all funds have cleared our Bank. This is due to current rampant fraud and forgery of Cashiers Checks), or 3rd-Party Finance. Deposit via PAYPAL. All funds must be in US dollars only.   6. Buyers Inspection: We have done our best to disclose all information known about this vehicle for auction. We always welcome a buyer’s inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending. Inspection fees if any are Buyers responsibility.
     

  7. Representations and Warranties made by seller: This vehicle is being sold "As Is", unless otherwise mentioned. Balance of manufacturer’s warranties may still apply, but will be noted in listing description if any exists. Extended warranty may be available. Please call sales staff for extended warranty details. No representations or warranties are made by Motorcar Studio or its Members, nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by bidders in making bids.
     

  8. Taxes and Registration fees: A dealer documentation, temp tag and vehicle prep fee will be applied to all sales. Appropriate sales tax will be collected from the residents of the state of GA. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for vehicle to be titled and registered.
     

  9. Title Information: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 30 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashiers check we will hold all titles for 20 days or until funds have cleared.
     

  10. Shipping & Delivery:

    1. All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. We will help with shipping arrangements but will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage!

    2. Licensed Carriers are generally insured for $3,000,000.00. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our showroom. We are not affiliated with any carrier and any carrier suggestions or carrier web links do not establish any affiliation. Any claims or other communication regarding shipment of vehicles will be between you and the shipper, NOT with Motorcar Studio

    3. The amount of time it takes for delivery is dependent on the carrier, but is generally 7-14 days from the date the vehicle is picked up from our facility until it is delivered to your destination. Verify with the shipper for an Estimate Time of Arrival to be sure using our zip code 30306.
       

  11. Finalizing your Purchase:

    1. We will contact the successful high bidder by e-mail after the auction closes.

    2. Successful high bidder MUST communicate with our Sales Staff by phone at 404-692-5250 within 24 hours of the auction ending to make arrangements to complete their transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy the vehicle within 24 hours of the auction end or the sale is not completed within 24 hours, we reserve the right to relist this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer and have no further obligation to previous auction winner.

    3. In order to secure bid on vehicle, Successful bidder (BUYER) must within 24 hours of bid closing send to Seller a Deposit in the amount of $500 by major credit card, cash in person or bank certified funds or Paypal. Within 7 days of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by bank wire transfer, cash in person, or bank certified funds to Seller and arrange pick up or carrier transportation of vehicle.

    4. At time of sending initial deposit, Buyer MUST fax copy of their State issued valid Driver License to . Furthermore, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller.
       

  12. Point of Sale:
    Buyer or Buyers and Motorcar Studio explicitly and mutually wholly agree that the Point of Sale of any Vehicle Purchased from Motorcar Studio took place in the City and State of Atlanta, GA 30306 and any and all claims or legal disputes shall be handled by the applicable Judicial Entity located in the Atlanta, GA 30306.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO

Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said. Buyers ditching expensive European sedans to buy expensive American trucks

The New York Times ended the automotive week with a story that adds numbers and context to a range of other stories, from the crossover craze to the increasing median price of a new car to ever more grandiose pickup trucks. The NYT piece reveals that the shift to larger vehicles isn't merely about the average U.S. buyer swapping the midsize sedan for a Ford Edge. Luxury buyers are migrating from plush sedans to plush SUVs and trucks that creep close to six-figure prices, and the Detroit Three are running Treasury presses because of it. From 2013 to 2017, the truck category — everything from pickups to minivans — climbed from 30 percent of the market to 41 percent. In January of this year, trucks claimed 66 percent of new vehicle sales. At the milk-and-honey end of profits, GMC alone accounted for 11.3 percent of all vehicle sales over $60,000, not just trucks. That puts the luxury truck maker behind Mercedes-Benz and Ford, The Blue Oval's feasting on Lariat, King Ranch and Raptor versions of the F-150, which make up more than half of that pickup's sales, putting it ahead of Chevrolet, Porsche and Lexus on the high-dollar sales list. The average transaction price of a GMC in Denali trim last year was $56,000; it's easy to see why, when one dealer told the NYT he just swapped a 2012 BMW 550i for a $71,000 GMC Sierra Denali. That truck starts at $52,900. The NYT started its story with a buyer who took home a Ford Raptor instead of an Audi A6, and optioned that $50,020 Ford Raptor close to $80,000. Over at Lincoln, the new $72,055 Navigator — the one so popular that Ford will increase production — crossed hands for an average sale price of $77,000 in January. And a Jeep dealer told the NYT that the two $93,000 Trackhawks he had on his lot "won't be here more than a few weeks." While trucks head up in sales volume and price, cars are headed so viciously in the opposite direction that "the Detroit Three and even some foreign manufacturers acknowledge they are now losing money on many of the cars they sell."
