1984 Jeep Cj7 360 V8 Huge Lift Nice!! on 2040-cars

Year:1984 Mileage:164000
Location:

Germantown, Maryland, United States

This is one bad Jeep CJ7. It was built a year or 2 ago and looks great and has maybe 1,000 miles on it since completely rebuilt. This is one vehicle where you can not drive anywhere without getting waves and thumbs ups all day every day. This is the baddest Jeep I have seen in this area or really any area.

This has a great AMC 360 V8 bored .30 over which was completely redone with less than 1,000 miles. It has a Holley carb and an automatic transmission I Believe it is a Chevy 400 turbo trans. It has a Dana transfer case and Dana 44 axles with 4.56 gears. It has a painless wiring system so there is no electrical mess and everything is labeled underneath. This thing sounds great with the Heddman headers and the exhaust coming out the sides. The only thing I don't like is the exhaust pipes were painted and is starting to come off so it really needs to be repainted with high heat paint.

Interior is all new. It has Best top seats which are new and the rear seat is sitting in the back uncounted in case you want it in or out you can mount it, it is a fold and tumble seat. The floor is all rhino lined but also has new carpet on top of that so you can leave the carpet or take it out and still have the nice Rhino lined finish. Dash is basically perfect looks all new but still has the nice CJ7 gauges and I believe its a Wrangler pad on the top. The roll bar also has been upgraded to a YJ roll bar so it goes through the whole Jeep and also has the spot if you wanted a 3 point seat belt for the rear.

There is roughly 12" suspension lift and 3' body lift. Paint is a great blue "electric" color that really looks great. It has a hard top that is in great condition. 9000 lb Winch is only a week old and has the blue synthetic line. Bumpers have been upgraded and there is Warn rocker guards and corner protectors as well as the 6" Bushwacker pocket flares. Tires are the great Dirt Grip Parnell Jones size 38.5/15r15. There is also a 5th matching new tire as a spare with no wheel .

I know I've forgot something so please ask questions and if you want come by and check it out. This is a great Jeep that has a lot of time and money in it. I will help with the shipping company if you decide to have it picked up and shipped. Shipping is up to the buyer both cost and arrangements. Reserve is low on this for what it is. I need to get a box truck 20-26 feet long so I might be interested in partial trades if you have one. I would also be interested in a SRT8 Magnum or Challenger

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."

2014 Jeep Cherokee musters 22 MPG city, 31 highway

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Production and media drive delays included, there has been no lack of press surrounding the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. With the most recent delay reportedly due to powertrain calibrations, we've been waiting to see how the Cherokee's fuel economy looks against the highly competitive compact CUV segment. Thanks to the EPA, we now know the fuel economy figures for the newest member of the Jeep family.
Arguably, the Cherokee has the most modern powertrain in its class with an updated base engine, all-new V6 and all-new nine-speed automatic transmission, but its fuel economy figures are simply on par for the segment. Still nothing to scoff at, though. According to fueleconomy.gov, front-wheel-drive Cherokee models with the base four-cylinder mill will top out the lineup with 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 mpg on the highway; opting for four-wheel drive with this engine drops the figures to 21 city and 28 highway. Get even crazier with the option list, and the new 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 will get you 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway in two-wheel-drive form or 19 city and 27 highway for 4WD.
If you're wondering how that stacks up among compact CUVs, head on over to Automobile Magazine for a full fuel economy breakdown for the segment. The controversially styled crossover hits dealers this month, and we'll be driving it in just a couple of weeks.

Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver is a more rugged Trailhawk

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We briefly mentioned the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver that was heading to SEMA last week when discussing the Mopar lineup set to be shown in Las Vegas. At the time, though, we weren't able to dive too deeply into details. But with SEMA in full swing, we were able to sneak over and grab some snaps of one of the first modified Cherokees we've seen. The Cherokee is, after all, kind of an unknown quantity in the modification department, being so new and featuring such a polarizing design. We were quite interested to see what Mopar could come up with.
Starting with the Trailhawk 4x4 and its 3.2-liter V6, the engine is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust, although it's not clear what sort of power boost has resulted. We'll admit, we were hoping Jeep and Mopar would get a bit more aggressive with the Cherokee's suspension (has anyone thrown a few-inch lift on the new Jeep yet?), but there's no mention of upgrades beyond the knobby, off-road tires. Those should do some good when the going gets rough, while rock rails are there to protect the Auburn Pearl paint on the body.
Speaking of that paint, it's complemented by an interesting graphics package in contrasting black and Crush Orange. The cabin sports Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, along with tech-friendly items like a wireless charging system for cellphones and wireless internet.
