1983 Jeep CJ7 with 1994 Jeep YJ front clip. This Jeep has 7 inches lift and 35' Remington tires. It is equipped with a shackle reverse system and drives like new. It has Auburn 4:11 gears front and rear with a locker in the rear. It has a factory hardtop and factory hard doors. The spare tire is new but is only a 33". The Jeep comes with a Meyer plow with a custom adapted frame mount for the lift. It has a very solid frame.

The reason for the front clip is that Wranglers can run a much bigger tires with the stock fenders than a CJ. I would have rather stayed with the CJ front end but this was more practical.

I had the head on the motor completely rebuilt a year ago. It has a new alternator and a Weber carb. It also has an aftermarket intake and headers.

I have owned this Jeep for over 10 years now. I have plowed with it the last 6 years. I only plow my drive and the small business lot I own in Kankakee.

I love this Jeep. It drives awesome and I never fear for my life when driving it like I have in other Jeeps. It has power steering, tilt wheel, and a brand new marine CD player.

I am selling this to make room for an antique car I need to work on after my Dads passing.

I will gladly answer any question you have or take any pictures you want.

I have 100% positive feedback. I try to describe everything as honest as possible.

AEV Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

After their rented 2007 Hummer H3 failed them during the brutal Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco, Amy Lerner and her sister Tricia Reina were on a quest to find the most capable production off-roader for their next competition - they chose a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Their next mission was to find a company with the competence to configure it to win. After poring over Internet forums and perusing countless magazines for an outfitter who could meet their demanding requirements, they sent their bright orange JK ("Crush" is the official color) to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) for some modifications.
The Michigan-based team at AEV kept the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission stock, but replaced the hood with a tall AEV Heat Reduction Hood and added an AEV Snorkel Kit for water crossings (it serves double-duty as its raised height helps to keep the air intake out of the kicked-up dust on the trail). Front and rear off-road bumpers were bolted in place, and AEV skid plates were added to provide additional undercarriage protection. A pair of IPF-900 off-road lights improve visibility, while a 10.2-gallon AEV Fuel Caddy (located behind the exterior spare) added some range. The suspension was upgraded with a 3.5-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (LT285/70R17) were mounted at all four corners on AEV's beadlock wheels.

Watch this R/C Jeep Wrangler plow snow

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

There's no denying the fact that the Jeep Wrangler is one tough and rugged vehicle, and there is apparently little lost when the SUV is shrunk down for a 1:10th scale radio-controlled version. Proving that the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler is not your run-of-the-mill R/C car, YouTube user Andrew Dykiel posted a pair of videos showing it clear about an inch of snow from his sidewalk and driveway during a snow storm last month.
Starting at $379.99, the Axial SCX10 costs more than most budget snowblowers, but other than paying a neighbor kid to shovel your snow, this might be the best way for a car guy to clear snow without the need for hot chocolate and ibuprofen. Better yet, it's electric, so it's zero-emission answer to snow removal! Scroll down to see how this R/C Jeep can help "shovel" snow from the warmth of your sofa. We've also thrown in a bonus video showing the mini Jeep negotiating the Rubicon Trail.

Toledo gets proactive in fight to keep Jeep Wrangler

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Let's make this very plain - the city of Toledo, OH loves its Jeeps. It loves them so fervently that the very rumor of the Jeep Wrangler moving out of its traditional home prompted the city's mayor, D. Michael Collins, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich to hold a weekend conference call with Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.
"The purpose of this call was for the mayor and governor to gain clarity on Mr. Marchionne's comments last week regarding the possibility of the next generation of Jeep Wrangler being built at a location other than the Toledo North Assembly Plant," a spokesman for the mayor's office told The Toledo Blade.
While no further commitments were made by any party, Collins and Kasich's statement was quite unequivocal about keeping Toledo's unwillingness to let the Wrangler go, saying "the city and its partners will again rise to the occasion to ensure that the new Wrangler is made in Toledo." According to the newspaper, the next step is for face-to-face meetings between officials from Ohio and FCA.
