SOLID SOUTHERN CJ-8 SCRAMBLER LAREDO!!!!

Beautiful Black!!!!!

1982 JEEP SCRAMBLER WITH LAREDO PACKAGE

You are bidding on a restored 1982 Jeep Scrambler with the factory Laredo Package (it has been in the South all its life).  This Jeep was purchased from the second owner (he bought it in 1987 and it was garaged most of its life).  Jeep was stripped down and taken to body shop for a professional black paint job (paint was faded and decals were cracking).  Please watch video 3 to see the amazing mirror finish on the jeep, you can watch the trees and clouds go by in the hood

Body was in fantastic shape, only a few small dents and it was 99% rust free.  It had a quarter size rust area, not a hole, and it was repaired correctly.  Jeep still has the factory characteristics on the body.  It also has the correct screen printed graphics installed on it (smooth, not layered vinyl).  All new weather-stripping, front windshield and new inside/outside door handles and outside upper door texturing.  It still wears the original door panels.

Interior has been completely redone….new custom Laredo seat covers and new carpet.  Entire cab and bed was bedlined before carpet was put in. (photos are available before liner was applied) All gauges work except of course for the gas gauge.  It also has a new AM/FM/CD/USB Sony Radio (sounds great!!).

Engine was rebuilt at 82,000 miles because it started smoking.  It also received a new T-5 transmission mated to the rebuilt motor.  The body has 102,661 miles on it before it was restored.  Recently installed new exhaust, ball joints and then a front end alignment.  Power steering and power brakes work great!

This jeep drives smooth and straight down the road!!  Rolling on a nice set of Goodyear Wrangler Tires.

Custom wood side rails were built by a local cabinet shop.  They were made to exact plans from the CJ-8 forum website.  Made out of White Oak, natural finish and 3 coats of exterior clear.  They turned out beautiful!

Rear tire carrier was sandblasted and powdercoated.

Jeep comes with a re-textured/repainted half hardtop (see photo) and a new bikini top.

Auction includes original owners manual and an original sales brochure!

Chevy Blazer and Easter Jeeps | Autoblog Podcast #576

Fri, Apr 12 2019

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder and Assistant Editor Zac Palmer. They do a rundown of the latest news, including rumors of the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma sharing a platform, Jeep's insane Easter Safari concepts and an upcoming "entry level" performance Ford Mustang. Then they talk about driving the new Chevrolet Blazer and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, and compare driving the Genesis G70 to the Kia Stinger. Finally, they take to Reddit to spend someone's money on a new crossover. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Choose Your Own Adventure... But Choose Wisely
Jeep has got you covered. We can say this without even having to know what it is you want, because there's hardly an option or configuration that you won't find in the 2014 Grand Cherokee. There are three different engines, three different four-wheel-drive systems (plus rear-wheel drive), four different trim levels - not counting SRT - two different suspension setups and five different settings for various off-road terrain conditions. If you happen to check the box for Quadra-Lift, you'll also have five different ride-height settings for the driver-selectable air suspension.
As you might expect with so many customization possibilities, the way a buyer checks the options sheet can have a profound effect on the final product and its capabilities, to say nothing of its price. Nowhere is that more true than with the Grand Cherokee's choice of engines, with the brand-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 stealing the spotlight from the still excellent gasoline-fueled 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 powerplants that carry over from last year. No matter which engine you choose, though, it will be paired up with Jeep's new standard eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. This, ladies and gentlemen, is very good news indeed.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
