Up for auction is a totally restored CJ 7. It was restored on a rotisserie about five years ago here in Georgia, not ten miles from my house. The guy is one of the best around. The frame was powder coated when the body of the Jeep was finished in Kawasaki green. It was sanded and buffed. Never any rust and no bondo what so ever. The motor is totally rebuilt and out of a Jeep Wagoneer. The 360 has an Edelbrock, 4bbl...believed to be a 600 cfm. The 727 T/F transmission was also rebuilt during the resto. Superior hardened rear axles. The exhaust is a 3 inch Magnaflow system....sounds awesome under acceleration! This Jeep is a beast when it comes to sheer power. The bumpers and spare tire swing gate are all custom made, heavy duty. All lights, gauges and CD player work as they should. The interior was restored as well. This Jeep tracks very true. It starts, runs, drives and stops like it looks....awesomely!!

Jeep Liberty under investigation for door fires
Tue, 29 Oct 2013The Jeep Liberty has already had plenty of attention for possible fires thanks to the first-gen model's fuel tank, but now the midsize Jeep is under the microscope of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for another fire-related concern. NHTSA has opened an investigation for the 2012 Liberty after receiving two reports of electrical fires in the driver's door.
According to the investigation summary, around 80,000 vehicles could potentially be affected by this problem. In both reported fires, the drivers noticed smoke and then flames from the master power window switch, and they had to pull to a stop and exit through the passenger side of the SUV. According to Autoguide, there was one injury to a motorist who suffered burned fingers while trying to open the driver's door.
Interestingly, the Dodge Nitro is not yet involved in this investigation, even though it was still around for the 2012 model year; the Nitro ended production in 2011 about a year before the final Liberty rolled off the line for the 2013 model year. Scroll down for the official NHTSA investigation summary.
Jeep Wrangler by Vilner takes extreme luxury off-road
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Vilner turned its customary and intensely luxurious attentions to a two-door Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited back in 2012, following that up this year with its take on the four-door version. A coat of lustrous black paint outside is brightened up LED headlights, foglights and taillights and layers of chrome laid on the grille, mirrors, door handles and fuel filler cap.
Stance gets an injection of brawn from the 20-inch wheels, and they'll roll faster thanks to the power upgrade from 197 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque in the 2.8-liter diesel to 257 hp and 412 lb-ft.
Inside is furious red, with cross-stitched crimson leather and Alcantara demanding your focus. When you can look away from that, you'll find the raw metal parts painted black and again ornamented in minor applications of chrome. Feel free to feast on it in the high-res gallery above.
