Up for sale is a Fiberglass 1979 cj7 Jeep with a clean title. The Jeep has a blue fiberglass body which needs some love.The title states the odometer had in access of 32,000 miles when I bought the Jeep. I had the motor replaced at that time and had the Chevy 350 motor, transmission, and drivetrain replaced. The motor is a re-built Chevy 350Cu. inch motor that has been completely rebuilt. I had the motor and the turbo 350 transmission rebuilt to racing specs so the Jeep could be driven on the highway and city. Since the rebuild I put on a little over 30,000 miles. The Jeep has a hurst shifter, detroit lockers, and dana rear end. The drive shaft was custom made for Jeep due to the high amount of torque. The motor also has an Edlebrock intake and carburetor which add more to horsepower. The Jeep has Headmen Headers that come out from under the Jeep right by the doors. The jeep also has billet aluminum pulleys on the motor. There are 5point harnesses for the seat belts in the jeep. The 4 tires are 35' BFG mud terrain tires and one extra 5th 35' BFG tire to go on the back of the jeep. I have lots of extras for the Jeep as well. I have bought 2 new metal doors for the jeep, a hard top which is fiberglass, 2 leather soft-tops, 1 leather 4x4 tunnel cover, extra lights and electrical, and a lot of extra hardware to go with the Jeep as well. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets surprisingly comprehensive update, new diesel power
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Traditionally, automotive journalists can be heard muttering something to the effect of "Geeze, it's about time!" whenever a vehicle's midcycle refresh is revealed. As we routinely see and drive new models many months before the public even claps eyes on them in showrooms - and then go on to tweeze apart their minutia in our daily writings - perhaps some impatience is to be expected. With so much exposure to a given vehicle, it's fair to say we tire of most cars and trucks far more quickly than the average consumer.
The alterations are handsome, if not subtle touches from the "If It Ain't Broke" school of design.
Which is why we're pleased to say "Oh, is it time for that already?" when it comes to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The current WK2 Grand Cherokee hit the market in 2011 and climbed its way into our hearts with its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability and surprising refinement. We're not yet tired of its appearance or performance, but even so, we're very glad to see Chrysler giving its flagship Jeep some attention, including a much-anticipated diesel powertrain option and some other economy-minded measures.

2014 Jeep Cherokee facing production delay
Fri, 17 May 2013Jeep's bold-faced new direction spearheaded by the 2014 Cherokee is facing some teething issues. According to a report by the Detroit Free Press, production start-up of the controversial new utility vehicle at its Toledo North facility is running about a month behind schedule "due to a wide range of issues." That's according to Mark Chernoby, senior vice president of engineering at Chrysler.
Chernoby maintains that the issues being encountered aren't unusual for the launch of a new vehicle - particularly one with a new powertrain - and he downplayed the delay, telling Jeep dealers that they "will have ample inventory of the midsize SUV by fall." Among the kinks being worked out? Calibrating the Cherokee's cutting-edge ZF nine-speed automatic transmission and refining assembly line tasks to make the process more efficient.
Chrysler expects to start building retail-ready versions of the Cherokee around mid-June, with official sales slated to start in September.
